System play has changed the way i wager (forever?)

I did this over a 3 month period and lost 6 figures. I am always curious as to why he touts this form of halftime betting.

Lets say a half time starts out at +8 -105

then all of a sudden it goes to +8 +120

Iceman is saying take the -8 -110 somewhere else, since pinny has -8 -130 all of a sudden.

I think the better way to go, however, is to take the +8 +120 at Pinny.

You would have made a fortune that way, woudnt you have clip?

The line shopping with many books used to be good, but is much harder now. First you need a bunch of books you can trust, second you need something like NT to keep those accounts at proper levels.

Now no NT,no Pinny or Mansion, and many of those lesser outs are a big ??? mark. There are only about 7 places I would consider using, and I don't see that changing.

You can get stiffed or slow-paid trying to move money, or at the least wind up paying excessive fees, waiting for checks, dealing with WU,etc.

I don't think the pure line shopping is nearly as good as it once was.

Ice would probably take both lines, if he could use Pinny, with no Pinny, he has to take -8 -110, or pass, or hope it goes to +8.5, then bet that.

same here, I didn't lose my shirt , maybe socks, but I was up a pretty good chunk...just disappointed I fell for it...this is entirely different than opening lines.

Where it seemed to work the best was full game lines that were very close to a pick em and moved to say -1 -2...but I do not have enough bets in to know if it was just a good streak or significant.

Halfimes (NBA, not NCAA) are probably the most profitable of all the hoops bets out there.

I will say this, you must have 5 SQUARE OUTS, trying to beat Cris and the like will not happen. I bet a small pct of bankroll (.5-1% of a 20k bank) with a ton of volume. I make on average $5 a bet but average 40 bets a day, $200 a day.

Ironically if my hockey was living up to its edge I would be expierencing a great month but so far even on those.

I was losing first 12 days of March (lastest I was losing I went into a month) and was down close to 28 units but have won 63 units this month since than (up 35 units for month) and never bet more than 2 units agme (98% of the time).

Something I would have to look at was the breakdown of each bet (ht's 1st halve, etc...) but may do that after the season. -120 lines will come in around 53-56% of the time, that is why they are -120.

It is still very possible you have just been lucky, I've had entire years were I won every month...I also had a terrible ten month drought that brought me crashing back down to earth from late 2005 to mid 2006.

I am talking about huge volume, I mean well over 500 bets, I am around 1,200 a month. 7 months and I have fell in the 53-56% every month. Not 3 games a nite for big money as that may cause some huge swings. Streaks will happen (I am sure you all know that) but the wins are way bigger than the losses.

I am on a hot streak (my hottest stretch) right now and remember I am not betting over $200 a game (very rare);

I am having troube sleeping at nite because of the excitement. I just keep plugging away. Just weird but like I said I am not sure this would be the case betting $500 game as I may not be able to handle the losing at the level. Sometimes think I should be betting more but nothing replaces the comfort level, it means everything. Everytime I try and downplay it I look at the math and it seems to add up, so I think nothing is out of the ordinary. Not like I am a millionaire but grinding out 30k in 7 months (since football) is okay with me and I didnt really know what I was douing with football as hoops has been the big thing for me.

Guys I have talked offline to a few others who wish to remain anonymous that are doing the same thing and seen the same results. I am a little worried that I may not be able to do this with baseball as I have never did it. Dabbled around in it last year but no where near the level I am now with it.

Interesting, because ICemans resulsts are opposite of what Clip and Jman are reporting having tried the same strategy....

that being said, I dont think Jman had the same outs as ICEMAN so maybe he wasnt shopping enough?

dont know about CLIP how many outs he had when he tried?

I only did this for a few weeks (maybe 4 weeks)...the outs wouldn't have mattered in my case, very few games were remotely close , it was like the exact opposite-huge losses...plus were talking about HT here, the line isn't going to move that much.

As i've mentioned before i've gone months reloading tens of thousands
into SIA because i kept winning at Pinnacle. This was during MLB season
on scalps between the two books several years ago. So if i were you i
would think twice before attempting your "system" in this sport.

Bet smaller with baseball til you have a feel or idea Ice...and next year bet more on each unit in CBB, maybe double it...if you are so sure about CBB I would focus on that and upping my amount per unit some.

I find the line does move a lot, on NBA half-times for example. It can easily move a full point from the opening line, in almost no time, and that's like 2 points on a full game.
