Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars 1:00 ET

Chip's FREE NFL Winner Jacksonville Jaguars

Jaguars (+) over Texans- It's been another disappointing season for the Texans and with Clowney going down spirits are dim. Meanwhile even with just two wins the Jaguars are a young spirited group that sees a future with quarterback Blake Bortles. Jags have a taste of victory and like it. Take JACKSONVILLE!

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Arizona Cardinals

1* Bonus Play Chiefs.

The Cardinals are 6-0 SU at home this year but I think that run of perfection comes to an end today vs. this hungry Chiefs team. Kansas City is coming off two straight losses, a listless 24-20 setback to Oakland, followed by its second straight loss of the season to the Broncos. Those setbacks were on the heels of five straight wins and with just four games remaining, the playoff hopeful Chiefs need to start stringing some victories together. A date vs. the suddenly reeling Cardinals is just what the doctor ordered in my opinion. Arizona has been exposed, it’s coming off two straight losses (19-3 to Seattle and 29-18 in Atlanta last week), and surely must also be caught looking ahead here to its divisional contest just four days later vs. the Rams (and note that Arizona finishes the year with games vs. Seattle and at San Francisco). A great situational play, I think the CHIEFS are worth a second look in this spot.

Carolina Panthers vs. New Orleans Saints

Free NFL Selection is on New Orleans -9-1/2 (162) over Carolina @ 1:00 Eastern

Here we have two losing teams doing business down in New Orleans on Sunday. The Saints are 5-7 after defeating Pittsburgh last week. The Panthers come in with a sorry 3-8-1 mark after being SMASHED by the Vikings 31-13 Sunday. The Saints still have a great chance of making it to the playoffs because they play in the NFC South. Back on October 30th the Saints devoured the Panthers 28-10. The Saints ran the ball 37 times controlling the tempo and clock. This could be a flat spot for the Saints who upset the Steelers last week on the road. Still we note, the Panthers have numerous starters and special teamers on the injury list and IR report. In November the Saints went 1-3 SU & ATS and 3-1 OVER. Whereas Carolina went 0-3 SU and 1-2 ATS, while finishing with a 2-1 OVER mark. Techs have the Panthers 11-2 ATS in the series, but New Orleans is 25-10 ATS at home in December and show with the more positive mindset….New Orleans 29 Carolina 13

Atlanta Falcons vs. Green Bay Packers

Bonus Play Green Bay Packers -13

The Packers have been destroying everyone at home and I dont see this one being any different. Aaron Rodgers is in his own planet and he will do all he wants against this Falcons defense.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Sunday's Free NFL Pick ---Cincinnati Bengals -3----

I think we are getting some great value here with the Bengals only laying a field goal at home against the Steelers. Cincinnati has won of the most underrated homefield advantages in the NFL and Pittsburgh has been far from impressive on the road this season. In the Steelers two division road games against the Ravens and Browns, they lost by 20-points at Baltimore and 21-points at Cleveland. Adding to this is the fact that Pittsburgh is only averaging 18.3 ppg on the road compared to 35.0 ppg at home. What really stands out to me is that outside of those two division matchups, the rest of their road games have come against some of the worst teams in the league in the Panthers, Jaguars, Jets and Titans. With two division road games and a home contest against the Broncos left on the schedule for Cincinnati, they know this is a game they absolutely have to win and I expect them to do just that.

System - Teams with a line of +3 to -3 who are off an extremely close road win of 3-points or less that have won 60% to 75% of their games and are playing a team with a winning record are 38-16 (70%) ATS since 1983. BET THE BENGALS -3!

St. Louis Rams vs. Washington Redskins

Bonus Play St. Louis, game 165

Prior to last week's meeting with Oakland, St. Louis played nine straight contests vs. teams with a winning record. The Rams come in covering three in a row, yielding just one 11.3 points per game and holding Denver's powerful offense to just seven points in that span. Veteran QB, Shaun Hill and RB, Trey Mason will shred the 27th ranked Redskins defense that allowed Andrew luck to pass for 5TD' S last week. DeSean Jackson is still not 100%, being hampered by a leg issue. This leaves Colt McCoy in the lurch without his favorite receiver. The Washington offense cannot punch it in the end zone, averaging a mere 20.3 PPG. Last week, they yielded six sacks and now must face a St. Louis defense that tallied six fat sacks against Oakland in last weekend's contest. The Rams are 5-1 ATS their L6 meetings in the series, 5-2 their L7 vs. teams with a losing record, and 4-1 ATS their L5 games played overall. The Redskins are 0-4 ATS there L4 games played at home, 6-15 ATS their L L21 vs. the NFC, and 2-7 ATS their L9 games played overall. Take St. Louis. Thank you.

NY Jets vs. Minnesota Vikings

Bonus Play Minnesota Vikings

All season our "spot plays" have been money. This is a bad spot for the Jets. We know the Jets are in disarray. Monday Night at home they battled division rival Miami, leading most of the way, only to lose at the end. Now the Jets head to Minneapolis to face the Vikings. Players know, Coaches know and the fans know big changes are coming in Jet Land. Jets on an emotional letdown after dropping the Dolphin game. Not good as they head on the road.

Vikings are waiting at home where they have been for three weeks. Minnesota handled the Panthers last week 31-13. Before that they dropped a close one to arch rival Green Bay 24-21. Vikings aim for a 9-7 season currently sitting at 5-7 in the standings.

Vikings are hot against the spread. Covering 5 of the last 6. Including 4 of the last 5 at home. Jets in a big letdown spot here, have yet to cover two in a row this year. After covering last week at home vs. the Dolphins I don't see it here. Take the Vikings for the home win and cover.

St. Louis Rams vs. Washington Redskins

Bonus Play Washington Redskins

I'm taking the points with the Washington Redskins on Sunday. Tough spot for a Rams' squad that's played a string of strong opponents and a few divisional opponents before a "bye week" last Sunday against Oakland. The previous nine games before the 52-0 win were all intense situations. Last weekend, while they deserve credit for staying focused and a 52-point win, it was as much of a Raider letdown and collapse (off the KC win) as it was anything else. After all, the teams each finished with 17 first downs and the Rams only gained a total of 348 yards because the Raiders were in a giving mood, committing 5 turnovers, and it's all the Rams had to do. Washington has been a mess at times, there's no two ways about it. But they do own the NFL's 11th ranked offense and 11th ranked defense. They're also a total of just 7 points away from a 4-2 SU run. Colt McCoy gets the nod at QB and he has performed well. McCoy has completed 67-of-89, 75% of his passes this season, averaging over 9 yards per pass, with 4 TDs and just 1 INT. Bottom line: Colt McCoy has taken care of the football and you can pass the ball on the Rams' defense. I believe they will and I'm recommending a play on the Redskins, plus the points on Sunday. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.

Aston Villa vs. Leicester City

Bonus Play Aston Villa

Aston Villa look to be turning the corner after a series of losses. This is a result of some of their key players returning from injury, most notably, Belgian striker Christian Benteke, who scored the winner in their midweek 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Leicester's last win was in September against Man United, and with only 10 points out of a possible 42, they look to be destined for relegation.

Atson Park has hardly been a fortress this year for Villa, with only 4 points at home in this campaign, but that is understandable given their schedule, playing the likes of Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal and Everton, all big name clubs back to back at home. Look for Aston Villa to get a home win against Leicester, who have yet to win a single game away from home.

NY Giants vs. Tennessee Titans

Bonus Play NY Giants

I don't see the Giants losing consecutive games to the Jaguars and Titans. The Giants blew a 21-0 lead against Jacksonville last week. They gave the game away with turnovers rather than the Jaguars outplaying them. Tom Coughlin will have them up for this game.

As bad as the Giants are, the Titans are worse. New York has dropped seven in a row. But until last week, they had played six tough opponents in a row. Tennessee has won once in its last 11 games with seven of those losses coming by at least two touchdowns.

Both teams have a ton of injuries, especially in the offensive line. But Eli Manning is far superior to rookie Zach Mettenberger, who isn't 100 percent because of a shoulder injury to his throwing arm and will be minus his two most talented wide receivers. The Giants sacked Blake Bortles seven times last week and he's far more mobile than Mettenberger.

The Titans are giving up an average of 44 points in their last two games. Their defense ranks 31st in points allowed and is last in run defense.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Cleveland Browns

Bonus Play Indianapolis Colts

Brian Hoyer has been named the starter over Johnny Football Sunday against the Colts, but it won’t really matter which one of them lines up under center. Hoyer was pulled after having a poor performance last week against Buffalo, and there’s just no chance he’ll be able to keep up with Andrew Luck and this explosive Colts offense.

The Colts are 8-4 and are coming off of a huge blowout win over the hapless Redskins. The offense was clicking on all cylinders, putting up a whopping 49 points. Chuck Pagano has really done a great job with this team and if they can tighten up the defensive unit, they’ll be a real threat come playoff time. The Colts hang their hat on explosive plays, as Reggie Wayne has done a tremendous job of mentoring the young T.Y. Hilton, who has become the focal point of this offense. Indy leads the league at 6.2 yards per play. That will surely continue against this Browns stop unit.

Trent Richardson has been a disappointment since arriving in Indianapolis. However, he is facing his former team for the 1st time since being traded, so if we were ever going to see a big showing out of him, this is the time. Either way, Cleveland doesn’t stand a chance of keeping up with this powerful Indy offense. Take the Colts.

Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

*3 Star NFL Free Pick* Houston Texans

The Houston Texans offense really impressed me last week in their win over the Titans. Ryan Fitzpatrick put up some huge numbers, and with Arian Foster back in the lineup opposing defenses have to be ready for the Texans very good ground attack once again. Houston's defense is dangerously good. J.J. Watt deserves all the attention he has been getting. Watt is an absolute beast who changes the game more than any other defensive player in football. Jacksonville is coming off a rare win. The Jaguars didn't necessarily play all that great last week. It was more a case of the Giants melting down in the second half. The Texans are still in the playoff hunt, so they have far more to play for in this one. Take Houston.
