I really Love these threads which pop up about every other month here at the RxForum.

They serve as a reminder to me to mail out my periodic financial support check to the Florida and Texas chapters of the ACLU.

Thanks to ROADREELER for the friendly nudge.

Meanwhile, I'd appreciate it if he or another right wing fundy Xtian moonbat will do me a favor and create an "ACLU SUCKS BALLS" thread sometime in late February so I can stay on track.

Apparently you haven't spent a lot of time in a classroom....What the hell do you think goes on everyday? :ohno:

SH: BBLIGHT doesn't get out much.

He's also apparently never spent a lot of time in an ACLU office.

BBL: For every rural bible thumper you can come up, I'll find you a dozen inner city left wing zealots who are true believers in the ACLU/NEA agenda.

SH: Something tells me that inside your brain there's a fairly unlimited number of boogey men.

BBL: With a good education, any street corner punk can become a success story when he finally matures into an adult - I'm living proof of that.

SH: Will they be as bitter and angry as you are when they hit age 60?

BB proclaims: The ACLU was born to do nothing but the communist agenda - that's an undeniable fact.

SH: I'm sure that's how they lead off every one of your meetings at that John Birch Society.

you guys are amazing

If you don't like the ACLU, you are a Nazi and a right wing moral freak.

SH: Both would be a real piece of work, so likely not always packaged in such a combo.

But yeah, one of the two likely influences most folks who actually spend life minutes denoucing the fine men and women who make up the American Civil Liberties Union.

Excuse me! Did you read his original post or are you just trying to act the fool?

SH: If you've spent a bit of time here at our friendly fraternity of the RxForum, you'll notice that BBLight's most curmudgeonly and self-loathing posts fall like clockwork between 8:30pm and midnight.

He insists (hand on an ACLU approved Holy Bible) that he's not a big drinker. So I'll take him at his word and figure the few beers he does knock back play havoc with one or more of his many pharmacuetical drugs made neccesary by his general OldMan-edness.

BB rocks on: The people who are pushing the ACLU agenda are true believers who will keep trying until they're recognized for the anti-American socialist zealots that they are

SH: Except for the many staunch Republicans and Liberterians who regularly support the fine work of the ACLU - Rush Limbaugh for one example.

Other than them...sure....commie pinkos all

Yes - he said "Free speach applies to prayer too."

You're the moomnat who brought up prayer in public schools- which I called a typical moonbat response to change the subject.

To pinkos like you, teaching about sex and handing out contraceptives in our public schools is ok and teaching that homosexuality is acceptable - but teaching about any kind of values is a right wing conspiracy.

You people are unbelievable.

SH: Holy cow...The wheels are totally off at BBLight's place.

GUITARJOSH makes a post in support of the thread's Anti-ACLU theme and BBL shoves him over into "Moonbat Corner" (aka, everyone who gets a big smile on their face when BB enters the discussion).

JOSH, lest you get flustered, review my previous posts about BBLIGHT's sometimes irresponsible mixing of Rx drugs with the drug alcohol.

He's mouthy (in a cyber sense), but harmless.

"for praying over lunch" Not only are you an idiot, you are are a liar. The only other choice is that you are terribly misinformed.
Tell that to Kayla Broadus, at the time 5 years old, who was reprimanded by her school for doing just that. She was eventually allowed to pray over her food, after her parents sued and got a judge to agree that the school was wrong and prayer was protected by the first ammendment.

Or there is Raymond Raines, who was given a week of detention for praying over his lunch.

I love these threads where a drunken BBL just vomits all over the forum.

SH: holy cow...Sounds like the type of case that the ACLU would have sponsored and/or directly participated in. The litle tyke should be glad that there are competent legal minds like those at the ACLU to protect her civil liberties.

The Constitution of the United States of America rocks steady

Yeah, but you hold your ire better, P.

BB is a welcome participant here. We need his kind to make it a more Real World.

The real Kayla Broadus story is that the child was asking other students to pray with her, she wasn't just praying to herself.

Board approves resolution on prayer

SARATOGA SPRINGS -- The Saratoga Springs City School District gave last rites to the federal lawsuit concerning audible student prayer at the board of education meeting Tuesday night.

A resolution confirming a settlement of the case was passed unanimously by board members.

''At the end of the day, despite all the spin and misinformation, Kayla was able to pray before the lawsuit and it will continue to remain the same,'' said Board of Education President Sandra Lewis.

In January, Dorothy Nolan Elementary School kindergartner Kayla Broadus was stopped by her teacher, Laurie Maragno, from asking classmates to say grace before snack time. Kayla's mother, Cheryl, filed a federal law suit in February claiming her daughter's first amendment rights were violated.

The settlement comes after Cheryl Broadus dropped a number of claims from the original suit and U.S. District Court Judge David Hurd issued a preliminary injunction allowing Kayla to say grace aloud until the case was settled.

In May, the Board of Education passed a resolution verifying that the district never had a policy restricting audible, nondisruptive prayer and that issues concerning student speech are fact-specific.

With this as their argument throughout the case, the school district stated in its resolution that if the case had gone to court ''the Board and the District would prevail in all respects and they and their staff would be vindicated.''

The settlement between the parties does not require the school district to pay any money to the plaintiffs and it will also not be required to create any new policies or practices in the district concerning student speech.

''I'm glad it's finally over,'' Lewis said.

assaulting family values

Who made you the arbiter of "family values"? What if my idea of "family values" is not the same as yours? What if I prefer the "family values" that the ACLU defends? Thus, you see why we need people like the ACLU to defend the Constitution and protect us from the tyranny of the majority. . . .

Group of corrupt lawyers exploiting the sorry state of the American judicial system. Their main focus is to destroy the United States as we know it by undermining the moral principles that created the country and supporting the scum of society.

-The ACLU supports homosexuals, atheists, child molesters, communists, terrorists, anarchy, bestiality, religious expression, political correctness, stalkers, harmful sexual acts, polygomy, suicide, illegal aliens, pro-abortionists, prostitutes, and Muslims; anyone with an interest in shattering societies concept of morals and eventually destroying said society.

-The ACLU is against Republicans, Christians, Jews, school children, the rights of infants, gun control, individual rights (ACLU supposedly stands for American Civil Liberties Union, but we know better), sane people, marriage, hetrosexuals, morals, self control, democracy, the people, the Government, sanity.

If the ACLU supports something, you better challenge it.

You forgot Rush Limbaugh. I would put Limbaugh somewhere in between communists and bestiality.
