As they should. They shouldn’t have been arrested at all. If they refused, then let them sit there.

So if a business owner asks a non-paying customer to stop loitering and leave, and they refuse, they should just...accept it? "Sure, no problem."
You live in a fantasy world.
A business has every right to ask a loiterer to leave, and if they refuse, to call the authorities. Happens every day. Should result in an ass-whooping. A Masvidal flying knee to the jaw would be appropriate.

What policy is it that say they have to purchase at a star bucks in order to wait. Show me that.

They actually changed their policy as a result of this incident. You can now hang out at a Starbucks without purchasing anything...that is now their policy.
Only in your fantasy world is this "right" and normal.

Regardless of whether it was right or wrong for those black kids to get arrested...the incident with these cops is completely ridiculous.
They are two totally different situations.

So how is it a fantasy world if they actually do it? Lol wtf are you saying?

I live in a fantasy world but you just recommended a flying knee as repercussions for not getting up from a public establishment and leave.

I never said that the owner cant ask someone to leave. But if they are within their rights and within policy of the store, then you should politely decline their request.

There is free wifi at Starbucks I believe. People take their stuff and sit down without buying anything. It’s okay man- if you don’t like Starbucks don’t go there. No reason to start talking about assaulting people and calling it appropriate. You have a weird perspective on reality

You seem to have Starbucks confused with some kind of public park or library.
And yet you STILL think it's reasonable that police drinking coffee were asked to leave.
Yet I have a distorted view of reality.

If they are on the clock and loitering they should be asked to leave by the public. That’s first of all.

Secondly, Starbucks is a public establishment that has never had the policy “buy something or leave”. So I don’t know what you are talking about as far as they changed their policy. Show that to me.

Youre wrong. Because what sparked it was the bathroom thing. Fiends going into a bathroom and doing drugs and leaving. That’s why they had that policy. It wasn’t because people would come in and use the WiFi and tables. Like I did.

You guys don’t understand the duties of a police officer here. Or the difference between a tax paying citizen and the police. So I am going to teach you. Don’t worry. You will have a new outlook on things and won’t be so mad at society

Wrong. They were not on the clock. That's first of all. They were "waiting for their shift to begin".

Wrong. Starbucks is a private business.

So I don’t know what you are talking about as far as they changed their policy. Show that to me.

Hahahaha. You wonder why he has some of the stances he has...then he says some shit like this and you realize he's just dumb as a bag of hammers.

In his fantasy world if he thinks it, and says it...it's true. Even though it pretty much never is.

Waiting for their shift to begin. I’m not buying that.

Before the new policy, the company left the decision of whether a person could sit or use the bathroom up to store managers.

^^^from the article you quoted and probably didn’t even read. :):)

Its not owned by the public no shit. But it is open to the public and their policy never said you had to buy something or leave.

It said you cant use the bathroom without being a customer. That’s designed so feinds don’t go shoot heroine in the bathroom and leave. Not because people are using tables and the WiFi. Just saying.

An establishment is the wrong word because it’s privately owned no shit.

But my point is- a cafe is a place where you go to sit down and use the WiFi, maybe get coffee. Have a discussion. Meet someone. It is foolish to say you have to by something or get out at a Starbucks.

And i don’t believe for a second the cops were waiting for their shift to begin. And how would anyone know that? All I see are cops sitting around doing nothing drinking coffee in gas stations, Dunkin’ Donuts. So I don’t want to hear some shit about they were waiting for their shift to start. Nonsense

Lol look at you feeling all special because you got Marges support lmfao. Eat a bag of dicks pal.

Faireycarey, you and Enflameo are a combined 8483748383848483737 in discussions against me. Wow I used the wrong word omg. You know what I meant. Obviously the public doesn’t own Starbucks fuckhead. But it’s a coffee shop and coffee shops, cafes have flexibility with people sitting down, waiting. Or else they need to go privately. Maybe be drive thru only. But nah they see the bigger picture.

Your the idiot saying you have to purchase something or you can’t sit down in a cafe. What a world that would be.

If they’re black, yes then it is acceptable apparently.

Ive just never heard of a white guy being kicked out of a Starbucks for sitting down at a table. I tried it. And what do you know, no one bothered me.

I didn’t even have anything but my phone and some headphones. face)(*^%

The bottom line is that it’s a private business, and as such, have the right to ask anyone to leave for whatever reason they want. And in this case, they did. And now they are suffering public backlash. End of story

And the public backlash is coming from the far right extremist idiots, just like quite a few on this site.

YOU HAVE to PAY or GET OUT. Lol nah bro. That doesn’t happen at coffee shops unless you’re black. Just really that simple.

The managers at star bucks were given full discretion and that was the problem. Because you are basing it on one man’s beliefs and biases. So only smart thing to do is to take it out of the managers hands. And then the far right extremist idiots go wild. Lmfao
