Thinking sports are fixed is probably far-fetched.
Thinking owners and leagues and some coaches do not have an agenda is close-minded and ridiculous.

Probably 95% of players, pro and college (and coaches i.e. STEVE SPURRIER and Boise St's old coach who went for a 2-pt conversion to cover with no time left in a bowl game up by 9 or 10 against Iowa St a few years ago), know what there spread is before the game. This affects their mentality (i.e. Gators and Boise St).

My buddies who played for Tx Tech a few years ago-ALWAYS wanted and attempted to cover.

The only people who you will hear say that games are fixed are people who lost a gambling bet. Think about how much money you would have to pay players like Kobe, Jordan, and Lebron James to fix a game????? They have so much money.....you can not buy these players ..Do you realize how many millions of dollars it would take to buy these players for what???????? They have everything they want as it is. With that said....

I had the "over" 210 in the Phoenix game as well...should of placed the half-time only. BUT FIXED???? Come On. These STARS make too much money goofing around to accept a bribe to "throw a game".
There's much to be said about not wagering on the first half of the NBA season when players are unispired until after the All Star break. Just a bunch of lazy MoFos baby!

Before I leave we must get togther. It would be fun. That would give you a chance to say stuff to a person and not a computer screen. Or is that not your style pus*y boy? Fade away and lose money. Before this dreaded 3 day losing streak, I was making money left and right. In the NBA, NFL and bowl games. That is a fact. So please fade me, I'm not sure how you will pay your rent at the trailer this month. That is if you don't still live with mommy and daddy.
Dude you keep you using the same trailer line every time somebody challenges you. I would be more than happy to meet you any where outside of the city you that chose to live in, in Lakeweird and please don't bring your boyfriend with you. (for those of you who don't know Lakewood has the largest population of gays per capita in the united states. but heat will respond with his usual "I'm not homophobic line".) Grow up heat its ok to admit and come out of the closet. Good luck to you and your boyfriend when you move to Vegas:bunnies:

I agree with you about players being aware of the point spread....paticularly in football.

But the funny thing is that heatohio's original conspiracy theory was about not a point spread, but a TOTAL in the NBA.

If anyone thinks that the NBA players are concerned about going over or under the total, they are really delusional.

Anyway, Skinsraj has obviously already put heatohio in his place....

If you KNOW that the NBA and other sports are fixed, yet you still bet enthusiastically and regularly on sports, you are a moron.

And if you KNOW that the NBA and other sports are fixed, and you spend a great deal of time on a sports betting message board debating who will win these games that are already decided by the books, you are REALLY a moron.

Don't dare tell people any of this, they will call you crazy. Just like the other poster that saw Bibby say "9" to a teamate that was at the freethrow line at the end of a game. I love that everyone seems to think that this is just because I lost a bet. I thought this when I was building my bankroll day after day.

Yes, that ass put me in my place. I've answered that question if you were smart enough maybe you would have seen my answer and realized that he in fact did not put me in my place. It is really sad how all of the nerd population gangs up on people. Is this because in real life you guys are picked on so much?

That may be true if I was simply saying that the players are just merely aware of the spread. That is not what I am saying. I feel that the books have a lot more pull in sports than people think. I've yet to see a response to my point that the books are on the winning side of a lopsided game 80% of the time. How did I make big money every week in football by simply fadeing the public? I brought up the example of the Bears/Cards game earlier this year on monday night. If you guys can't explain away my vaild points please quit replying.

It is this simplistic type of thinking that will keep you from understanding most of what goes on in real life.

I've seen you around the forums quite a bit and though I've never deliberately followed you, have been the same plays as you. You seem like a decent guy to me but I don't quite understand the recent name calling or whining about games being fixed. I was on a 8 day winning streek last week--lost a bundle on Philly/NY (35% of my bankroll). I didn't shout "FIX" or blame anyone--I sucked it up, sucked down a cold one-- and had a walk. Now, I've all but made up for my losses (only down about 4 units)... with action tonight and a refreshed (and CAUTIOUS) attitude toward the coming weekend.

Seriously, who needs the "you live in a trailer park" talk? We're all mature adults (mostly) and don't need to blame others that we follow or tin-foil conspiracies.

To quote Lemy: "You know i'm going to lose,.. and gamblin's for fools.. BUT THATS THE WAY I LIKE IT BABY! I DON'T WANNA LIVE FOREVER!" :suomi:

Who needs his shit talking? I'm responding to a little boy that could not back up word one of what he says on the internet. Try bitching at that asshole and not at me.

I think its a combination of the refs and the owners influencing some coaching decisions to help sway the game one way or another. Nothing to do with the players themselves.

I agree to some level with you. You have idiots on here thinking that this is a movie where the players are in the locker room with a bag full of money. This would be so complex that the simple minds on here could not begin the understand. That is why they think it is impossible, because they are not smart enough to comprehend how it could go on. It is because of sports betting that college basketball is on national tv and the reason that sports packages on cable and satalite are actually sold. The sportsbooks help the sports and the sports help the sportsbooks. That is the Amerikkkan way.

if ur implying that romo or glen intentionally fumbled the ball thats crazy. i dont care who u r, there is not enough money in the world to make some put themselves in a publicly humiliating situation and put a scar on their careers and on top of that, loose a game that would send them to the next round in the playoffs.
