I don't believe sports are fixed because people who claim it to be fixed always seem to be on the losing side. Now are you telling me the NBA tracks your picks and always fixes games for the other side?
Having said that, I do believe athletes pay attention to betting lines. About 2 or 3 years ago, my friend and I were watching a Kings home game. I forgot who they were playing. That night they were a 9 point favorite. It was a close game until about the last 3 minutes when the Kings started to pull away. With a few seconds left, the Kings were up 7 when someone on the Kings got fouled and was going to the line with about 4 seconds left. As the guy is about to shoot the first free throw, the camera shifts to Mike Bibby who was having a good game. And you can clearly read his lips as he was whispering to Peja Stojavic, he said, "Nine", with a big smile on his face. He was looking at the scoreboard and then the free-throw shooter made the first free-throw and missed the second. It was awesome. My friend and I started laughing our asses off as it was one of the best moments in sports we had witnessed.

teams that are up 20 points or more, will normally slow the game down below the rate at which they were scoring in the first half.

This is the offical season long fix thread. I have given very good arguements to why I believe this stuff is fixed. And to everyones disbeliefe, I don't only think this when I lose. I've won plenty of games and told myself that the game had to have been fixed for me to win. I'm just not as upset by it because it worked in my favor that day. I do believe that maybe sometime's .. 1 or 2 game's could be fixed up a little but to be honest .. on the game your on about last night .. Suns have such a big lead .. why do they need too press for the OVER? they dont need too .. they will rather take a rest and sit some starters etc.
For e.g .. the other night as i stated in here .. i needed 2 teams too bring in a 10 team parlay .. yes a 10 TEAM PARLAY! .. now those 2 plays were .. NHL (edmonton v SJ over 5.5 and GS -2 in nba) now it comes too me making an hedge and edmonton/sj game score is 3-1 after 1st period!! so boom i chalk that up as a damn good chance of it covering so i hedge the GS game at HT with a bet on ORL +1 for 1500$ .. GS are up by 7 at the half and the Edmonton game is looking like a sure thing .. in the end .. EDMONTON win 3-2 whcih doesnt cover the 5.5 and GS got spanked in the 2nd half .. now yes i win the hedge (very lucky too do so) but hell .. a 10$ too win 8900$ when the EDM/SJ is 90% there and everyone is all over GS -2 and they lead at HT by 7!!! .. This is a BRUTAL BEAT but it aint a fix mate .. i had the same play for the OVER listed in my post as a 8 unit play from me .. did they know the total was 5.5? is that why the shot wasnt taken on the empty net with 4 seconds to go? no its because he choose too hold the puck and not give it away with the clock winding down! I also had Buffalo Sabres -1.5 and they are 2-0 with 45 secs to go and chicago score too make it 2-1 .. i doubted the goal but the refs give it on a review .. bad beat? hell yes .. fix? no .. get over your losses and take it like a man
