The NFL has punished a few guys severely for off the field issues this season.

Let`s see what they do here.....My opinion is it won`t be a happy ending for the Pats.

Somebody has to pay for breaking the rules.

We`ll see....Time will tell.

My guess is that the NFL will find that most teams try to "adjust" the footballs to their QB's liking - it's common practice. They'll come up with a new rule.

This. It's rather amazing that the teams have control over their own balls. Has it always been this way? They should be under the control an NFL official at all times.

No nfl used to use new balls but the QBs said they were to slick so now they dirty them up in practice before the games

[h=1]Ravens tipped off Colts about Patriots' deflated footballs[/h]
According to Glazer, the NFL was already planning to inspect the balls at halftime, despite D'Qwell Jackson's interception originally being reported as the cause.
While the NFL is still investigating and figuring out what direction to go in terms of possible penalties for Bill Belichick and the Patriots in what is being dubbed "Deflategate," many NFL owners, general managers and coaches are tired of the Patriots and are wondering if the league will finally take a hard line, Glazer reported.
The NFL says its investigation is ongoing after a report Tuesday night claimed the league found 11 balls were not properly inflated.

You can't put this coach up there with Lombardi, Shula, Landry, Brown.

You just can't.

I hate this story, but I wish they could have at least come up with a better name than 'Deflategate'

Excellent example of the type of Media Sensationalism, Press Vulture Hype I'm talkin about that has turned this country into a massive Middle School Gossip-Bathroom.

OH! Cassandra told me that Mickey had her PERIOD!!! Teheeheeheeheeheeheehee!!!

WHO ARE these "many NFL owners, general managers and coaches" that are "tired"???!? Jay?

Name them.

You are not a Journalist Jay you are a Team Owner in a Yahoo! Fantasy Football League.

Stick to giving us insight in the Draft & Injury News and stop playing "Reporter" cuz all it results in is crap like this generalized unsubstantiated blather designed to fan the flames of Anarchy with the sole purpose of shocking guys into watching FoxSports coverage of this nothing story that any guy who'd take the time to compare 2 footballs, One pumped to 13 Lbs PSI the 2nd 11 Lbs PSI would know is, as Shakespeare said Much Ado about NOthing.

Stop hitting us with all this Ado Jay, pics or it didn't happen name the "upset masses" you refer to or GTFO.

Better yet name them then GTFO anyways. You're letting yourself be pimped out for ratings Jay, embarrassing.

[h=1]Patriots' Bill Belichick on Deflategate: 'I had no knowledge' until Monday[/h]http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/patriots/2015/01/22/bill-belichick-deflategate-deflated-footballs-new-england-patriots/22153139/

After reading the statement, is it bad to sort of believe him? The person most likely to deflate a ball is the quarterback. We gotta hear from Brady.

Brady is supposed to have a media appearance tomorrow.

I wonder if this is going to lead to a rule change where nobody but the officials can handle an approved game ball an hour before kickoff.

Hopefully this is finally the moment when someone steps up and takes the heat and stops allowing everything to fall on Belichick who they've allowed to be turned into a Dr. Evil type figure from an Austin Powers movie. Maybe the guys who deflated the ball hid Ray lewis white suit from the murder? Maybe Ray Lewis will address the media on the whereabouts of his white suit.
