I agree. The Patriots represent a big market covering 6 states (Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Rhode Island & Mass) so the NFL won't want to punish it's best team right now. If this was Cincinnati, Tampa Bay or St.Louis in the same situation..among others...it would be a different story. Certain teams and players are NFL darlings. The Patriots are one of the very few imo...
We are way past a fine and move on.
Im glad they dont take a bunch of guys from a gambling forum and put them on a jury. This story has more holes then swiss cheese. They have changed who said the balls were deflated 20 times and everytime they do, the player or team says I never said that. This has actually become pretty darn funny as the media is hyping the superbowl free of charge for the nfl. Probably be the most watched game ever because of this. This is called marketing 101 and the NFL has hooked the American population all year.
it's too bad he has no clue about what the Pats have been doing regularly since 2000 and how it was covered up by the NFL to the point the commissioner himself destroyed evidence before anyone else could see it. he admits to destroying it, but says he reviewed it and deemed it not relevant. really???? how bout getting some other opinions on it??? because it would expose the Patriots as chronic cheaters, and expose the NFL as being what it truly is. pre-determined entertainment, just how it was founded. look and see who founded the NFL, what they all had in common and what the purpose of the league was. it will be crystal clear to you.Kudos to the one Pats fan who can call a spade a spade. Cheers.
I could not disagree more. If the nfl does nothing before the super bowl and you see brady with the trophy and confetti...that is a nightmare. The nfl image is already damaged after this year...this would make it worse and the commish is too dumb to realize it.
This is an easy case. Brady says I like deflated balls to his equipment people and they deflate balls for him. Not too hard to figure out. This "investigation" can be done in a half hour with a few phone calls.
It will be most watched for the same reason it always is...super bowl parties and gambling...and some women for the commercials and halftime show
take a bunch of guys from a gambling forum and put them on a jury.
