the demographic I like to cite is this one
Vietnamese, they came here unwelcomed, on boats, dead parents, can't speak the language and subjected to as much racism as any demographic was at the time
Did they cry we're victims? NOOOOOOOOO
they lived together, shared sacrifice, went to school, worked multiple jobs and became the highest income demographic in the states
that's what I believe in, that's my America
Libtarded america, vitterd's america is about victims and unfair disadvantages, excuses and Al Sharpton like lies
I think AA's are my equals, he thinks they're lessor people that need help
I teach my kids they're equal, look them in the eye and shake hands and appreciate equality
Vit espouses people to pity AA's, feel bad for them, they're at a disadvantage
Taking vit's path, we'll never have a color blind society
just look at what his messiah has done, set racial relations back 40 years (we're back to the 70's now, one more term and we could have been back to 1960)
Vitt.... you still never answered:
What is their environment doing to stop them? How are their parents stopping them?
Id like to know this
Pretty simple.....being born into a poor neighborhood with poor schools is a severe disadvantage for minorities and those who aren't minorities. Seeing drug dealers on the corner and dodging bullets is a different environment than those who can play in their from yards.
If the parents don't care and are assholes, chances are the kids will be as well. Think that pretty obvious.
FZ, I still remember that first pay check. Felt like I hit the lottery. Was like I hit the lottery. Was probably less than $50.
How come I can find hundreds of successful black people, who grew up in inner city poverty, and are now wealthy and educated?
What did they do that was any different than those who arent successful and living in the inner-city, or in jail, etc...
ANSWER: They had a goal, and worked hard to get there, and nothing was going to stop them. Its the same story when you read those success stories....over and over.
they didnt let where they were born stop them, they know they wanted a better life, and realized they can have it if they worked hard and set goals. Quite a few even talked about seeing gang members and drug dealers with wads of cash, nice cars and women... But knew that was an easy way out, and also not a correct path in life, as it was wrong, and you more than likely will end up dead or in jail. And they chose the path less traveled, and worked hard.... and it paid off.
So if they can do it... whats stopping someone else from doing it?
Thats right, themselves..... taking the easy way out, pointing fingers, and not taking responsibility for their own actions. Cause its easier that way.
How did these tons of success stories happen, with the same kind of education offered to the same inner city children?
Of course you can find exceptions. And you don't know that those people didn't have help along the way either. The kind of help the govt provides. The poor and welfare bashing doesn't help anything. Quite frankly, many of them need the help.
You dont int think there are plenty of examples of minorities that didn't make it out but worked hard to do so? I've known plenty
Yep most of them grew up on welfare and government assistance, but didnt want that for their children when they became adults, they saw a better life, and knew you had to work hard for it, so they did.
So, what privilege did those people that you know, that worked hard to get out of poverty have?
What Privilege did Ben Carson have?
Even better... what privilege did Obama have?
As for the color-blind society, Morgan Freeman nails it. What's hilarious is Mike Wallace was not expecting the answer he got at all...and squirmed extremely uncomfortably in his chair:
The guy who knows how to get things at Shawshank is 100% right. Either we're all Americans or we're not. It's not difficult to see why some prefer to keep the latter going.
Regarding the hard work part...well, my grandparents came here in the 1950s when they were in their 30s. My dad and his brothers were 10-13 I think. Mom and her parents were about the same age. Mom's dad earned money by doing yardwork like lawn mowing...standing next to high school kids who were just looking for summer jobs to make money. Dad was 13 when he started caddying...he did it not to have summer pocket change, but to help the family since they barely made any money at first. They didn't speak English when they got here, nor did they know a soul in the States. Shockingly, they lived to tell about it...without going on welfare. I'm a little disappointed...my parents or grandparents never told me they got as far as they did because of white privilege. I always thought it had something to do with work ethic.
Oh, one last thing. California is getting ready to pass a $15/hr minimum wage law. Last night, I talked to one of my best friends who owns a commercial cleaning business...he has maybe 15 employees, tops. Guess what he told me he's going to have to do? Start doing most of the jobs himself (ie let go of some employees) and also probably raise prices on his customers on top of that. Sounds like a winning combo! Maybe the state needs to raise the MW even higher...that should fix everything!
You think most people on welfare and kids on welfare don't want better? Mostly all of them do. Unfortunately conservatives will only point to the ones who try to fuck the system. It's like any large group.....some bad apples.
I don't know what each individual had or didn't have. I can only speak to what I've seen and that's people desperate for anything to better themselves......giving opportunity to the less fortunate is an obligation in my mind. You would be shocked to see how people can flourish if given a chance. Some don't even know they have a chance.
Did you watch any of the Democrat debate?
The country is so polarized and balkanized it almost doesn't matter who wins the next election...the loser is going to be SUPER pissed.
We are so screwed.
they are all given a chance... there are 100's of job training programs, schooling, free day care, free phones, free housing, free food, free money, scholarships, military opportunities, etc...
But, for some, its just too much work to try and better themselves. Would rather play the lottery and hope for a dream, then work to achieve it

Youre talking about a small sample.....for some reason you guys do that. I've met a lot of people on govt asst in my life......9 out of 10 of them want off and are willing to work for it......sadly many of them don't get that chance.
So, because drug dealers are on corners, they cant get an education and graduate from school? And they are shot at daily and targeted with bullets, so they cant graduate from school? And all because they are a minority.
Also, since because they are a minority and have no privilege, their parents are also assholes who dont care. Makes no sense....
The fact is the poor are poor because they have too many Poverty Habits and too few Rich Habits. Poor parents teach their children the Poverty Habits and wealthy parents teach their children the Rich Habits. We don’t have a wealth gap in this country we have a parent gap. We don’t have income inequality, we have parent inequality.
