We’ll get our annual Allen/Rodgers and State Farm Super Bowl hype

More I look at this deal, the more I think it’s a gift from God

Best QB in the NFC easily, Packers should have 1 of the better OL's once Bahktiari and Jenkins get healthy, D should be 1 of the better D's once Jaire is healthy

No need to call 1-800-Gambler (saw the link at bottom of the screen here now lol) if you bet GB to win the NFC at +450, only problem is gonna be for your bookie
Biggest shakeup needed is the special teams.. They were awful all season. Cost them big time against SF with blocked punt, field position... Special teams are probably more important in bad weather games.

Biggest playoff under-performing QB in the NFC easily

Still the best QB in the NFC

It would be hard for someone like Stafford to underperform in the playoffs too much, the only way his teams are making the playoffs is if they are loaded.

I’ll take Stafford in the 4th quarter of a close playoff game over Rodgers any day of the week, regardless of roster

Most clutch QB in the NFL and not afraid to take a risk

lol Stafford > Rodgers after his Flaccoesque run

recency bias for the win
Dude played in Detroit for 12 years. He was always good

He was the most clutch QB in the regular season too.

Not Flacco-esque at all. Stafford threw some picks. But he was willing to throw to more than 1 receiver, unlike Rodgers

Stafford thankfully had a good surrounding cast. The 4 game run was played in ideal conditions. Doubt he would've had that success playing in Lambeau in bad January weather..

Stafford was horrible vs good teams in the regular season, he had a nice playoff run where they got as favorable as a road as possible and they won 3 games by a combined 9pts with probably the best postseason run by a WR ever. It was a nice run but I can't say that month made me change my opinion of him as a player or anything.

Pretty good QB with high upside but also downside volatility (led NFL in INT's), still reasonably injury prone

And that's to say nothing of his motivation level after a win like that, probably gonna spend the next 7 months partying with celebs in LA

Rodgers has also dunked on that D with ease both in '21 and '20

How many points did the Packers score in that bad weather?

Who did Rodgers dunk on in the playoffs this year?

That’s all the matters for Rodgers at this point. no one cares if he wins 13 or 14 regular season games at this point

It only determines if GB is gonna lose at home or on the road in the playoffs. Because they are losing before the Super Bowl

Yeah stafford had a better playoffs than Rodgers this year, as well as everyone else. That doesn’t make him the best QB

Rodgers is just objectively better than him, I don’t care what day on the calendar the game falls on

Talent isn’t everything

Not a secret that Rodgers isn’t a great leader or teammate. Many former teammates have said this about Rodgers

Can’t predict sports outcomes solely on pure talent. You can take the Daryl Morey approach and state that “chemistry is a myth”, but you’ll like end up with zero rings

Okay?

I’d rather have Stafford and a few other quarterbacks more than Rodgers, and I think Rodgers is probably the most talented QB aside from maybe Mahomes

Rodgers > Burrow in terms of talent, but I wouldn’t trade Burrow for Rodgers even without the difference in age. I’ll take the leader, culture changer guy over a drama queen who underperforms in the playoffs any day of the week, even if a little less talented
