Rodgers was a no brainer signing. He gets you to the table(play-offs) to throw the dice. The NFL play-offs is a crap shot. The skill is getting you to the table to even have a shot.
Tom Brady is an elite qb but he isn't far and away the best. He has been on the right side of variance. He won 3 sbs by a fg(if his kicker misses does this make him a lesser qb?) 1 sb because team doesn't run from 1 yard line. Another sb in OT when down 27-3. Another one 10-0 against a rams team that had what was left of todd gurley and a down right awful jared goff and then a dominating sb win over a beat up kc team.
Brady gets you there, he gives you a chance(elite). But to proclaim him a football god(ala jordan in nba) is laughable(imo).
There is no Tom Brady play that you look at and go "omg only tom brady could do this"...he is an elite qb that has been on the correct side of variance. His longevity has been amazing but lets see if we don't see a lot of other qbs moving forward playing into their mid 40s.
I mean jeesh. Jimmy G would would been playing in 2 super bowls if SF could have caught that punt throw from Stafford late in the nfc champ game.
Rodgers is a no question sign him up if given the opportunity. He had seattle beaten in seattle on 1 leg to go to another sb and the packers can't recover an onside kick. They do that he probably has 2 rings and nobody is talking this non-sense about him.
Talking purely football here and not his political, family or vac stances.
