sds sorry did not see your horse question. I will check out your picks in the forum and if you beat the ponies long term you will be a genius. I never knew a guy that won betting ponies, might win one year but lose triple the next, track takeouts are too high to overcome.

Like anything else JJ, PATIENCE seems to be the key. WHile everyone trips over each other trying to hit the Superfectas and go broke doing it, I am content to pick 4 races out of 12. In those races I will pull the winner that I think is there.
Then I will bet say
$25 win
$50 place
$100 show.
If I can walk away with a couple of hundred each night I go then I am quite happy. I DO hit some exactors & trifectas with some regularity so I do get a bit of excitement. Sure I have losing days, but I find more winning days as I get better as a handicapper.

Once again I will repeat though,
IF you hedge yourself with good solid WPS positions, you can swing away at some exotics and hit frequently enough to make money. If you misss, then at least your main bets will carry you most of the time.
It is the exotics that "spike" my bankroll when I am at the track.

I went on a trip to Michigan 2 summers ago, I made 14 dimes playing slots and sponsored 2 other guys, and my take was 40% of there profit, so I made another 8K off of them, I made 22K in 3 weeks of playing slots, I do grand openings only. Slots are hot when the casino first opens like the first 3 weeks only. Couple of guys got in fist a cuffs over the good machines. I ratted off the competion to the head security guy, and gave him 300 to let my crew stay for the last weekend. Also I buy hot chilli to spill on anybody I see smoking.

JJ and Sick what you are saying is YOU don`t know how to beat some slots legally NOT that slots cannot be beaten legally.

Sick, quick question, is a match play bonus worth 50% of a cash bonus?
You know it isn`t because you understand how to use it right!

Parlays have a huge house edge but what if the results are correlated!

Just because soemthing has a huge house edge doesn`t mean it cannot be beaten under the right conditions.

Well take it from me there are certain slots out there that can be beaten and the people who are doing it are unlikely to come on here and tell you hopw its done.
The funny thing is if you read this thread carefully you will find out a great source of info on how to do it.
And its legal too.

Here's a perfect example of a guy that only tells us when he wins, and it's 2 summers ago to boot LOL.. But how come Rail won't tell us about the day he also lost 19k in one day, and not only his 22k winning day.

Every gambler has had big days before.. Hell, guess what boys, I swear, on January 12, 2002, I went 13 for 14 in my bets and won 29,300 bucks in one day. If slots are so profitable like you say and you can easily make 200 -300 day there, what are you doing not in a casino now and hanging around here for? I'll tell you why.. Beating one armed bandit type slots, by that I mean no video poker, which is another issue, can be done. That said, I would estimate probably 1 tenth of 1% of all slot players know how. Walk into any Casino and count the people playing slots, you will be counting for quite a while. Most of these players are on vacations or junkets and are doomed to lose, slots are the primary source of income in the state. In Nevada, certain groups, and in some cases single individuals, have figured out which slots to play, and how to play them. I am not talking about cheating, but using progressive jackpots, and high return machines, etc. It is not an easy thing to do, but just the same it can be done.

Fine, I can understand this.. Yes, I do know that 50% Match Play is equal to close to 40% cash,, BUT for most people, it's only worth a little over 23% cash.

But that is not the point here kid, the point is, IF i can get a 50% match play anytime i want, i'd be doing it 24/7 and be living on an island. But, they can play the slots anytime 24/7, and why are they not there now playing it, and here instead. I'll tell you why, that is because it's not much worth it for them to be there, cause even if they can show a profit, it is too small compared to what they can make here or these boys would be there as we speak. They probably sit there for hours upon hours to try to grind a small profit, whereas you can make the same at home here in 1% of the time.

Voodoo can win 20 dimes in the first 6 months but what he fails to tell us he lost 25 dimes in the next 6 months. The casinos would go broke if we all went there everyday and could win $200.
