BALL STATE +15

Ball State is 1-9 but have played alot of close games and are capable of winning at home. CMU does not blow teams out on the road like they do at home. Look for Ball State to keep this game close at home. Take the points.

UNLV -5

For a number of different reasons I believe the value in this matchup is on the home side:

Tre’Von Willis had a game-high 17 points to lead UNLV to a 91-52 victory against Division II Pittsburg State of Kansas Saturday night.

UNLV closed the first half on a 24-7 run and Willis scored the initial seven points of the second half to extend the lead to 55-32. He had 13 second-half points.

Kendall Wallace added 16 points for UNLV, including 4 of 5 from the 3-point line, and Justin Hawkins finished with 11 points. Of the 13 Rebels who played, 11 scored.

On the other side of the court: Luke Babbitt scored a game-high 26 points as Nevada cruised past Montana State 75-61 in the season opener for both teams Saturday night; however the Wolf Pack do not matchup well in some key positions vs. the Rebels.

Bottom line: UNLV forced the Gorillas in their last game into 25 turnovers and limited them to 27 % shooting in the second half and I expect them to build off that performance; play on UNLV!

*6* UNLV.

UTAH JAZZ -8

The Jazz return home to host the Raptors in a non-conference clash at the Delta Center knowing they are 8-0 SU and 7-1 ATS the last eight games in this series. They are also 49-22 ATS at home as a dog or favorite of less than 11 points off a loss when hosting an unrested opponent. With Toronto in the last leg of a four-game West Coast road swing, look for Utah to bounce back from a tough four-point loss to the Cavs last Saturday here tonight. We recommend a 3-unit play on the Utah Jazz.

WASHINGTON WIZARDS +5

This is a battle of two teams that just flat out dont like each other, and Washington ALWAYS gets UP for the Cavs. Washington has been off since Saturday Night, and have had 3 days to prepare for LeBron and Co. tonight. They also get back All-Star F Jamison tonight, as the Washington ballclub is finally getting healthy and have had the L/3 days to work on things and be ready for this game tonight on ESPN. Cleveland is playing its 3rd game in 5 days tonight & playing the 2nd game of a back to back, as they defeated Golden St. last night by 6 pts. The Cavs are now the team with injury issues, as three key players are questionable or doubtful for tonight: Shaq, Moon, and Varejao may all be out tonight. Washington has covered 4 out of the L/5 overall in this series, falling just one point short of the 11 pt srpead at Cleveland on Nov. 3rd, losing 102-90. Washington is 3-2 Straight Up and 4-1 ATS the L/2 years vs Cleveland in games played AT Washington, and I look for a very inspired and Maximum effort game out of Washington tonight, and I see a lot of value with the pts in tonights game, & I wouldnt be surprised if Washington won this game outright. Take the points with Washington tonight.

INDIANA PACERS -6.5

Indiana is RED HOT and have been on a 5 game tear and off a big win last night at New Jersey. They already beat NY at NY by 12, and the Knicks are going in the totally opposite direction losing 9 out of 10 and giving up a whopping 110 ppg on defense. That does not bode well on the road at all! Indiana rolls at home tonight.

Play 1.5 Units on the Pacers.

Clippers/Grizzlies UNDER 199

Just like last night's total winner with the Clippers and Hornets going Over, the sharps have pounded the UNDER here. This line opened at 202 and then the smart money nailed it. The Clippers just played last night and this is their third road game in four nights, so fatigue could very well be a factor for LA. The UNDER is 4-1 in the Clippers' last 5 games playing without rest. Memphis has gone UNDER in three of their four home games this season, with the average total points scored being just 187. My numbers have this game at 194, so I'll follow the sharps and take the UNDER.

BUFFALO -4.5

Buffalo has lost three straight games, but they have come by a total of seven points. One of those losses was by just a single point to a Bowling Green team that just hammered Miami by 21 last week. In fact, five of the Bulls seven losses have come by a touchdown or less with the only exceptions coming to #8 Pitt and MAC East leading Temple. Miami, on the other hand, has a habit of getting hammered with eight of their losses coming by double-digits. They are now 2-10 ATS vs. teams with a losing record. Can't see the Bulls failing to cover a third straight game as a favorite, despite the injuries, as Miami is -18 in point differential this year. Simply put, these teams are not in the same class and the line does not reflect that. Buffalo is our 25* MAC Game of the Year.

INDIANA PACERS -6.5

Talk about two clubs going the opposite direction. The Packers have not won 6 straight games in over four years but I suspect that is about to change with the struggling Knicks coming into town. New York has flopped now six times in a row with the last drubbing coming at the hands of the Golden State Warriors 121-107. They really have not even been all that competitive guys and on the road are dropping games by an average of 13 points per game. Until I see signs of life out of this club I just cannot support a play on them here. The price seems reasonable at 6.5 so I am suggesting we bet that the Pacers keep their streak alive tonight. Take Indiana.

Miami-Ohio +4

Let me first note that I got +4 just now but you may have to pay -115 to get yours depending on your book or perhaps wait a while to do so. What is there to love about a 1-10 football team? Nothing much I guess except that they are playing someone they can beat tonight and they are getting points at home. Naaman Roosevelt, the Bulls best receiver is out of action tonight and the Redhawks, despite losing last week to BG, did not play badly on D, holding their opponents to 349 yards. Let me first say that that made me happy since I had Bowling Green in that contest. Let me also say that the 3 INT's by the Redhawks played a large role in that contest. Buffalo does not pose nearly the same threat that BG did and let's face it, how does a 3-7 team lay points on the road? The Redhawks have played in bad luck but their last 3 have been pretty sound with just a 2 point loss at Temple and a home win over Toledo preceeding the BG loss. I am grabbing these points tonight in a big way. Take Miami-Ohio.
