Welcome to Ecks & Bacon for Saturday, October 25, 2014
October is the GREATEST month for the wagering community, and I'll start off this Saturday with some college football action, then baseball, a hockey play, and a goal total in El Clasico. Jumping on Michigan State -17 points over Michigan in the battle of the Wolverine state. However, in this spot, the visitors from Ann Arbor, the Wolverines, have NO shot, and NO claws. Why? Lemme take you back to the game last year, where State beat the Wolves 29-6. The Spartans held Michigan to a program-record minus 48 yards rushing. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? MINUS FORTY EIGHT! And Sparty's defense is almost as good this season. They have outscored their last two opponents, 101-48, and have covered 14 of the last 17 in East Lansing. The Wolverines have been a losing proposition on the road for quite some time, covering only 11 of the last 35. And if you saw Ohio State coming up on the schedule for Mark Dantonio's squad, not to worry, they have a week off. Gimme half a Benjamin on Michigan State. On to the World Series, where we will only drop half a Benj on the Giants if they lost game three last night. If you like the ice, try the Maple Leafs over the Bruins tonight. Boston just lost All-Star defenseman, Zdeno Chara, and was already without D Kevan Miller. Gonna drop half a Benj on the Leafs. And if you like soccer, then there is nothing better than El Clasico, between Real Madrid and Barcelona. The over/under goal total is sitting at 3 goals, and we would advise an over.
