P.s. pull up a 10 year gold chart bullish a setup as it gets.. 6-7 years of consolidation and now ready to run as the everything bubble (bubble burst #3 of the 2000s) bursts.. secular gold bull which began in 2000 when bubble #1 began to pop still intact..

back to my cave for me..

this one gonna get messy..

If there was a market downturn why do you think Gold would run when it didn't in 2008? It didn't go down as much as the S&P but it did go from like 900 to 700 in that time frame.

They're kind of right, but using children as an excuse as an early effort to limit the power of groups in this new connected society

The French Revolution originated in coffee shops. Sober people with an axe to grind eventually turned against their own system.
No such issues arose in Britain because the Brits closed all the coffee shops and kept the bars open so only pissed people with an axe to grind were left.

Pubs were open pretty much 24/7 for the masses right up until 1914 when people getting pissed started to impact directly on the war effort

Social media has the power to organise and generate far more momentum than any political party ever could and the system is quite rightly worried at how this could pan out over the next 30 years

30 year bond bubble toast too..

and us keeps racking up the debt and has all these entitlements to pay baby boomers who want to live to 100

No where else to go..

classic consolifation triangle setup after a big run from 200 to 1900 on the 10 year chart

theres a place in the world for crypto and gold..

gold in the bottom of the ocean from 1700s is still gold and has value.. u can’t destroy it.. it’s tamgible and always will retain value.. all fiat including usd will fail on a long enough timeline.. gold will not..

a destroyed usb with crypto on it is worthless..

bitcoin futures was the game over signal..

like i said crypto is essentially dotcom bubble.. 95% of it is worthless and will go to zero.. and there will be a few humongous winners 10-15 years from now like we see outta amazon google Microsoft Apple etc..

eth has the most promise as of today.. but it’s constantly evolving..

I think cryptos will evolve into stores of wealth in the first world and replace dollars in third world shitholes

Everybody and his budgie has a mobile phone now and it's only a matter of time before crypto micro payments become easy

Yeah but they have so much work to do to make it a reality.. it sounds great and got everybody excited but the reality is it’s still not here..

i can go on my banking app and use zelle to pay peer to peer zero fees..

bitcoin at peak popularity had 40 dollar fees .. completely worthless.. and now all the mining is super centralized too with only a few big outfits mining it.. it’s losing its decentralization aspect.. The only true value it has..

Im still not sold on the monetary aspect.. so many kinks to figure out.. once I saw eth that made my eyes light up and still does..

like dotcom its a good story.... and along with it came hoards of shitcoins and ico scams.. it has years and years of development ahead of it to make the story a reality... ethereum has a nice head start on everybody as far as the decentralized web dream goes..

trump stupidly cheerleaded the bubble on the way up (including already using up the #1 ammo for a recession tax cuts).. so now he will own the crash..

let the fun begin...

Anything on BTG Tiz? Been holding for almost 10 months now, pretty much flat.

If these rate hikes continue, couldn't the strong dollar hurt gold/oil?

Btg still double digits once/if gold takes off to new highs on the next bull leg as I expect.. new big mine up and running ahead of schedule and at a low cost... just in time for expected gold ramp..

Pull up a long term chart of btg too.. very bullish setup.. once it breaks that uppermost line skies the limit..

im always early I’ve been adding to my gold stack a lot recently..

market starting to wake up to whats going on gold/silver perking up some overnight as markets down another 2%

Oh yeah silver too.. I’ve been adding.. and I’m thinking it outperforms gold.. once things start moving big..

Pull up a long term gold/silver chart.. ratio near the historical lows..

People who have been long Xiv, svxy, and short vxx are about to learn the same harsh lesson I learned in 2011. These trades have been pretty much easy money with very little hiccups for the last 7 years. I think a lot carnage is coming because of all these instruments plus the fact that funds and investors were selling volatility “no matter what” because it’s been working have to unwind and they are going to fall all over each other to get out. If I had to guess I would say the market could fall 20-25% this year. Lots of short sellers have given up too, so that aspect removes buyers on the way down. Lots of horror stories are coming from people who sold naked puts in the s and p 500 and went all in on the volatility instruments.

You just think too much, that's all

It's the variation of the species, Darwinism.
Anyways. Too many smart people won't bring peace IMO, (although many smart people think it will)

In his talk, Palihapitiya criticized not only Facebook, but Silicon Valley’s entire system of venture capital funding. He said that investors pump money into “shitty, useless, idiotic companies,” rather than addressing real problems like climate change and disease. Palihapitiya currently runs his own VC firm, Social Capital, which focuses on funding companies in sectors like healthcare and education.
Palihapitiya also notes that although tech investors seem almighty, they’ve achieved their power more through luck than skill. “Everybody’s bullshitting,” he said. “If you’re in a seat, and you have good deal flow, and you have precious capital, and there’s a massive tailwind of technological change ... Over time you get one of the 20 [companies that become successful] and you look like a genius. And nobody wants to admit that but that’s the fucking truth.”

looks like some dead catter action in crypto and markets.. strap on your seatbelts it’s gonna be a bumpy ride... lowest volitility period in history of financial markets... chances are highest period will follow especially since underlying fundamentals for the economy are a facade..
