lol there isn't a fact in the world I won't believe. You just were stating facts in regards to your #s. I totally believe you on Gold 4000% because that is correct, 20% per annum or beating S&P in that time frame aren't facts snoop. These are incorrect.
You gave me an impression that gold is worthless piece of metal and you didn't understand why people are piling in gold. If I didn't do a good job of explaining why gold is a good investment, I'll give it another shot. People invest in gold because:
1- It appreciates value over time.
2- It's a hedge against inflation or currency devaluing.
2- A steady gain in a long run.
Gold has racked up a massive 4000% gain since the US ended the gold standard. S&P is lagging behind with 1600%. Your only stance is if dividend reinvested is included, it would beat gold. How many people keep reinvesting dividend since 1971? Beside who is already billionaire, not that many folks do that. Gold has been an investment/saving vehicle for 2000 yrs for above reasons, and many of them are ultra rich, bank on that. Who cares about whether or not gold does not produce any dividend? As long as people is willing to pay $1650/once for it, it won't be a worthless metal as Buffet made it out to be.
