Coach, I'm guessing the "Old Ball Coach" has already talked to Jacob Park.

He recruited him hard as a HS player.

on that jacob park story if his dad is telling the truth this is some weird stuff:

Adam Park, reached by telephone Tuesday night in South Carolina, said “I can’t tell you what’s up because I don’t know what’s going on myself. I have no clue where this came from. I don’t know nothing about it.”

Wow. That's interesting.

Park's departure is now official:

http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsport...ob-parks-departure-from-georgia-now-official/

Confirming yesterday’s report, Georgia has now officially announced signal caller Jacob Park‘s departure from Athens. Though it sounds like the announcement didn’t come without a fight – or at least a stern discussion.

“We’ve had conversations during which we discussed all the viewpoints,” head coach Mark Richt said in a statement. “In the end, he feels like the opportunity for significant playing time would be better at another school. I can understand his decision, and we¹ll support him in finding a good fit at another institution.”

“I want to thank Coach Richt and Georgia for the experience I’ve had in Athens”, added Park. “I’m grateful for the opportunity but now look forward to what’s next in my college career.”

Boys,

I leave for Alaska tomorrow....will be back next Sunday. Not sure if I'll be getting online much. Get me up to date when I get back and make sure CL, RT, and GS behave!

I'm running a marathon in Anchorage next Saturday, the Midnight Mayor's Marathon (or something like that). I'll be shooting for a sub 3:15. I haven't run a marathon in almost 2 years (this will be #18 for me)....my sub-3 hour days are behind me, but I hope I can go out and sub-3:15 (which will qualify me, again, for the Boston Marathon)....either that or I could die. Who knows?

See you all in about 10 days.....

"Infographic Shows Every Player on Field for 2012 Alabama Offense Is in NFL

CHUO-HiWcAA8el2.jpg

It's no secret that head coach Nick Saban's Alabama Crimson Tide teams have been loaded with NFL-caliber talent through the years. Fans knew it at the time, but looking back on those squads, it's crazy to see just how loaded his teams were.

Just check out this infographic from a 2012 game between the Crimson Tide and the Michigan Wolverines. Alabama was ranked No. 2 at the time, and Michigan entered the game ranked eighth in the country in the AP Top 25.

The game was effectively over before the first quarter ended. The Crimson Tide jumped out to a 31-0 lead in the game before cruising to a 41-14 victory.

Less than three years later, all 11 Alabama offensive players on the field on that September night are now in the NFL. Regardless of how much success the players have had, they are all in the league. That's incredible.

Alabama would go 13-1 that season and beat Notre Dame 42-14 in the BCS National Championship Game to win its third title in four season

Not picking on Notre Dame but the game with Bama for the championship was a mismatch. Alabama had players people outside the SEC had never heard of...yeah, NFL scouts new them well. The Irish had this overblown media linebacker who couldn't tackle anybody. He did have some lovely girlfriends though...didn't he?

Same this year. People writing off Alabama because they have no quarterback, no offensive line, no secondary, etc...Again, NFL scouts know exactly the talent level on this 2015 team. Folks, this Tide DEFENSE can/will be scary good...if you are outside the SEC...bet you can't name a single player.

Tide grabbed Oregon State WR transfer yesterday. Now closing in on RB from WVU, Andrew Buie. He was in TTown for a visit last week...

could be as much to get some depth at RB as it is to recruit his brother for next season. Bro is committed to the barn but they haven't been giving him much attention lately as they focus on other recruits

I watched some film on Mullaney. I was hoping to see him follow Riley to Nebraska. Not sure about Alabama depth at WR, but looks like they are getting a pretty good player. This kid was only a 3 star. Liking Riley's eye for talent.

I saw where Nebraska picked up a 4 star safety Dismuke the other day. Good to see Riley going after the defensive players

I like the aggressive approach; going after and flipping some high profile kids, added with looking under rocks....like, they were the first to offer an unknown cali QB, who now has himself in the Elite 11 final.

his brother is better...just wouldn't get enough carries in a crowded backfield at WVU...

I've said for a while that relationships are one of the biggest factors in todays recryiting. This particular kid is there because of Keyshawn Johnson...and I dont think it will be the last. Imagine a USC grad sending his kids to Nebraska. Junky wont like that.

well he certainly won't get them with Henry, Drake, Flowers, and Harris in front of him. hell, Shell wouldn't get carries with those guys in front. i think they like Buie's ability to catch the ball which only really Drake has right now along with his experience. Drake coming off ugly injury and both Flowers/Harris are freshman. Probably bigger key is stealing Jalin from heading to the barn

Tide backup CB Jonathan Cook booted from team. According to his mom he did something stupid and this mistake cost him his scholarship...more details to come. This could certainly come into play depending on what CNS' decision is with starting CB Jones who is likely to be suspended for at least the Wisconsin game. early word is that Cook could look at UAB as a potential transfer spot when they return to football. Nothing like going from the SEC champs to a potentially winless team...

in other shitty news the RB i referenced above, Flowers, will NOT be eligible to play in the fall. They just found out tonight...scare details but speculation is a transcript issue. Demetrice Vaughan, RB from AL that played in AL/MS game, will walk on. (again, Tenpenny must be kicking himself in the ass for transferring.....)

Not surprised by Georgia but a little shocked that Louisiana hasn't produced more SEC players. Behind
Alabama and Mississippi is a shocker to me. Louisiana certainly produces some top tier talent even if
the numbers aren't there.

agree...LA may have lesser overall #'s but the top-tier quality is as good, or better, than AL/GA/TX/FL and certainly MS.

(Then again...i forgot that recruiting is not a very good predictor of on the field success) face)(*^%
