I don't think that's the issue. My issue is ABC has to set and then enforce the same standards all around for everyone even if they disagree with their political opinions.

Roseanne should've been disciplined and Keith Olbermann should've never been hired at ESPN. You can't discipline Roseanne for her racist comments and then hire a blatant bullshitter like Olbermann that calls the sitting U.S. President a Nazi.

Yeah, well you can make the same argument in reverse with the NFL, couldn't you? I'm not buying that logic for a second because it's inconsistent with the way people have reacted here.

For the moment, we're talking about ABC's track record for firing people. Not the NFL. At ABC, If you insult the right.. you get hired. If you insult the left .. you get fired.

Actually, I was replying to someone who made a comment to me. Don't read it if it bothers you.

Yeah, whatever that illogical answer means.

FYI

‘Roseanne’ reboot reportedly being courted by former Trump campaign aide Michael Caputo

While President Trump's support couldn't save Roseanne Barr — and her show — from her own racism, his former campaign staffer is willing to try.

Michael Caputo, who now serves as the chief marketing officer for Bond, an online startup streaming service, said Wednesday that he's planning to reach out to Barr immediately about bringing her canceled sitcom to his network.

"We always planned on reaching out to Roseanne eventually," he told The Daily Beast. "Now it's sooner rather than later."

According to its website, Bond includes "exclusive, premium content," although it doesn't currently appear to have any. The streaming service says it will "take the middlemen" out of the entertainment industry by giving all revenue diretly to "content owners," while allowing creators to raise money to fund their projects. Those investors will also get a share of any revenue.

Other members of Bond's team include a Russian TV executive executive and a former entertainment lawyer from Moscow and a professor of the Russian Economic University.

Caputo does have minor TV experience outside of his recent appearances on cable news to talk about Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation: in 1991, he led a fan-campaign to save "Twin Peaks" after it was canceled. ABC did ultimately air the final — until the recent reboot — six episodes of the show.

"Roseanne" was canceled Tuesday after Barr called Valerie Jarrett, the former senior adviser to President Barack Obama, the baby of the "Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes."

Barr, 65, apologized for her "bad joke" but ABC wasn't amused.

"Roseanne's Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show," ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey said in a statement.

The show was also pulled from Hulu, Paramount Network, TV Land and CMT.

I actually just logged into my Amazon Prime account as I do every night at this time to watch Roseanne...I 100% expected it to be gone due to the bald headed fucker running Amazon but was pleasantly surprised I am still able to watch....Thanks! I honestly do not expect this to continue but will always love old episodes...Many years ago I made a post about Patrick Ewing and his resemblance to an ape and of course Will deleted it...

While I have no problem with it,had I compared Larry Bird to looking like a bird all would have been fine...Or my favorite store manager of all time Bill Sparrow actually looking like a bird...

And some are so stupid that they actually think the series can continue on without her...HaHa...Even with changing name and whatever else they want to do...It wouldn't last 1 episode...Or would be some type of filler to try and prove a point...Darlene,Becky.Dan,DJ,Jackie are all failures...Fucking losers that have done nothing without being attached to the name Roseanne....

Did you read all the comments I made on this? I'm not sure why this is so hard for you to understand or why I should even have to repeat it (it's not that difficult). I'm saying those that were saying they were going to boycott the NFL don't have a leg to stand on in by getting upset that Roseanne was canceled. And if they were to be consistent with their stance, they should have been one of the first to put up a thread proclaiming that they were going to boycott the show. But how many threads did you see on that? NONE. And of course, you will have people hiding being the stupid narrative that their anger about the NFL was simply about not protesting at the workplace (which I called bullshit on). The anger was about disrespecting the anthem and disrespecting the country. Pure and simple and I'm not going to waste time with anyone that says that isn't so (because they obviously have no brain cells). This woman exhibited extremely distasteful and vulgar behavior toward the anthem and our country and yet not a single poster on this thread that said they would boycott the NFL said they would exact that same measure on this show. And I think it's more than obvious that a majority of posters here are just as bad as many of the far left Libbies that have the same cult-like, sheepish behavior.

Couple questions:

How many Anthems did she sing and do that?

How many times did she do that at her job, which she was paid, that she used it to make a political stand?

Thanks.

I rest my case, Enfuego. It's like talking to walls. And most of these guys couldn't come up with a cogent argument to save their lives.

Again, I think you're missing the point. Guys aren't upset she was fired or her show was canceled and agree her comments were terrible. They are upset at ABC's apparent double standard in administering punishment over this situation compared to others where libs have done the same thing and are still on air.

The fact that you think you’re making an argument is pretty damn funny.

Roseanne bungled the National Anthem in 1990. That was 28 years ago (you were not an adult then and many people may not even remember) and she did not set out to disrespect the Anthem.

Even if you assume she did, that doesn't mean you can't say it was wrong for her to be fired and be against people in the NFL kneeling.

You aren’t very good at making arguments. In fact, you don't know what one is as demonstrated by the fact you think this utter retardation you're spewing is on shows.

Kind of seems that way to me too. And then we have the laughable narrative that somehow it's different and hide being the workplace bullshit. No morons, it's about respect for the national anthem and the country. The outrage is not about your workplace bullshit. And no one would cut any of these athletes/celebrities any slack if they pissed on a flag on "their" time (nor should they). These hypocrites have somehow convinced themselves that their stupid narrative justifies this. This woman mocked the anthem, did a crotch grab, and spit, and you kids are all at bat for her. Fucking hilarious.

The stupidity here is just hilarious.

SPEAK OUT ABOUT THESE TWO UNCONNECTED EVENTS OR YOU'RE A HYPOCRITE!!!!!!!
