Last night I made my first Live-in-play bet.
After seeing the first possessions for each team I knew NY had brought it and Cleveland looked flat. Most games I have looked to do live-in-play bets on are not available it is pretty much only the nationally televised games that allow it. There wasn't a break until the 1st quarter was half over so it required a lot of waiting but it was clear the way this one was headed...This wasn't Cleveland looking for revenge for an earlier season loss this was NY having something to prove. If it weren't for Melo's poor night NY would have likely picked up a W. If it weren't for Kyrie Irving the Cavs would have had no chance. Lebron was extremely passive and unwilling to take it strong to the basket and he made some very uncharacteristic mental errors. Love has had to defer to the other guys too often. Kyrie had no assists for most of the game which normally would be disconcerting for me but with how the rest of the Cavs were shooting and the way he was scoring so effectively and, more importantly, efficiently it didn't strike me as him being a ball hog. Kyrie may very well be the best guard at drawing fouls going to the basket that's not named James Harden.
GS NO started out as a good game. Anthony Davis was as impressive as I had hoped he would be, he was superman-esque but the supporting cast was just terrible. He plays in a way to make the players around him better. He makes good smart passes, he doesn't require many touches, he never looks annoyed or frustrated, he cleans up his teammates misses with his offensive rebounding put backs, he has that Garnett mid-range jump shot down which is a good bail-out shot for the team, he provides rim protection when other guys get beat defensively, yet the guys around him aren't decent. It's the strangest thing.
