Not really. He deserves to be punished. But not used as a scapegoat for Goodell just because of public pressure. Everyone knew he knocked her out, not sure what this video does to change that. Other than little girls like yourself having a hissy fit again.
This is exactly what happened.
Why does she get a pass???
Does that real matter?
If you're arguing with a guy, I'm gonna guess that if he slaps you open-handed, that it's gonna piss you off even more than hit hitting you with a closed fist.
Bottom line is she pushed his button first and got him pissed.
Do we know her history?
I just don't know why people always fall for the one-sided story we always get from the media.
And once again, not defending him.
Are we going by the tape as evidence, or are we going by what we assume?
Ok if we are going by the tape, then she actually started it with her little slap.
If we are going by assumption, then maybe he was showing his azz wherever they were and she had had enough.
Or maybe vice-versa.
We simply don't know...
Not sure what other people are seeing. It's actually a lot less severe than I thought it would be. I still think she might have been knocked out hitting the elevator rail.
Duuuude????? Less severe? What exactly did you think it would be? It was a one punch KO. Whether it was the punch, or the rail it doesn't matter.
I thought he beat her ass, like went Chris Brown on her. I didn't know it was a single punch. Obviously if someone gets knocked out the video is going to look bad. I just thought it would be much worse.
It prob woulda got worse....if she wasn't knocked unconcious that fast.
One problem is...do you see his reaction after. Looks like it's just a normal saturday night out for him. Terrible...he shoulda been cut after the first tape came out.
WTF Does Luck have to do with any of this?
He is saying if an elite QB did this they wouldn't get cut. That is probably right...If they did get cut they would definitely be back in the league as soon as it allowed (i.e there would be no blackballing)
Rice declined bigtime last year, he played almost 100 games in 5 years since the Ravens made the playoffs every year he was in the league for his first 5 years. All those wars with the Steelers took their toll as well. Cutting him wasn't that hard of a decision for the Ravens.
That's true of anything in life though, more talented you are the more you can probably get away with. Like in Breaking Bad Walt was a huge risk to Gus and secretly wanted to kill him, but he cooked the best blue meth so he had to deal with such risks.
