my body is so use to years of crap, that when I try to eat better/less, I start getting headaches. Guess I just have to deal with that until my body gets used to it?

Your headaches will go away after 2-3 days. It's just your body not getting the Sugar ( carbs )that you normally would have.
Drinking a lot of water helps like Matty said ... if you don't like water much, Cal free Sports drinks

For the cardio i do interval running. 90 seconds jog/run 30 second sprint at 9.5 speed on tredmill. Just got to find your own pace. Start small and it will develop overtime if you stick to it.

Usually starting is the hard part. Forcing yourself through those first two weeks where routine isn't routine yet. Just forcing yourself to do it everyday for two weeks usually will turn it into a routine.
Yea man! Agree.

HIIT to accommodate sprints is where it is at if you want to do cardio. The inclusion of sprints is awesome for muscle, fat burning, and teaching the body to recover.

Dammit, now I feel guilty not doing anything today. I've been a slacker the last month or so with the newborn and all. It's easy to do you know. Lol. Monday class is gonna suck...

Good post Ricboff.

The importance of Dietary Fiber can be easily forgotten and is great for the body. Help with a lot, and who doesn't like the feeling of a good poop as a side effect. Lol

You're not alone . Don't be hard on yourself . Many people are in the -'I can't seem to lose weight , even though I starve myself ' group

of course , I don't know you ,can write in generalizations only. Modern medicine is evolving - to treat the INDIVIDUAL , rather than a cookie cutter mentality

my previous post said various factors play a role in getting the body back to controlling it's weight . Diet is one factor only . IF you are eating well and not losing weight ? You have to address other factors . Again I'm assuming you are eating well -pressed the re-set and shut down carbs (20-25 % of daily intake, no grains , no pasta )and still no change ?

other factors I mentioned in my previous post;

- sleep : quality is extremely important. It's when the body heals/repairs . Is your
sleep good ? Wake up refreshed ? Do you snore ? Daytime tiredness ? Sleep apnea can lead to significant health issues . Can make losing weight very challenging as cortisol levels remain chronically high . Promotes systemic inflammation

-gut microbiome - this is a biggie . We have more gut bacteria than cells in our body ; 10:1 ratio . We r a planet for these Bacteria . We need them . BUT we need the good ones . If you have gut 'dysbiosis ' or 'leaking gut syndrome ' efforts to lose weight will be grossly challenging . Modern medicine has the tools to test this . Things you can do to encourage a healthy gut microbiome : eat fiber , prebiotics, probiotics . A functional medicine chap can really help you here

-exercise - again , combine hiit and cardio . Add muscle - fuel your muscles . Don't need to go to a gym!! Body weight exercises.

Great post

I also need to educate myself on food better. I have been tricked into thinking certain stuff is good when it is not. For example, yogurt I always thought of as healthy. Just went to grab one and there are 16g of sugar. Bad, right? How much sugar should someone like me intake daily?

I would try not to over-complicate things. If you make it too difficult on yourself you will end up going right back to old habits.

Eat healthier and exercise.

Your diet is 80% of it. Exercise is 20%..

You copy pasted that from page 1 moron... you are not healthy neither in the body, brain or spirit. Go fetch some taco bell or go clean mom's basement... whatever you choose

I buy these because most probiotics will be killed by your stomach acid. These progels survive through your stomach and get released in your gut where they need to be.

If your piss is always clear, you're probably now getting enough water...
do you honestly believe that clear urine means you're dehydrated?

Baby carrots when hungry through the day and swimming 5,6 days a week. The pool is much more forgiving than running . Start with a half hour a day then move up. If you can hit an hour a day you will be starting to get lean.

minimizing sugar intake is a key lifestyle change. the more fruits and veggies you eat, the less you eat of everything else. carrot sticks instead of chips, peaches and cream instead of peach ice cream, broiled anything instead of fried anything, consume 25 grams of fiber and a gallon of water every day. you deflate, crap like a dinosaur, and gain the energy you need to get through the workouts you need to keep it off.
