3rdly lol..im kinda young with a couple k in the bank. been always thinkin of gettin started in a bit of investing but heard trading was hard and long process that should not be attempted by amateurs.. would u say thats true quantum?
Unless you invest for the long-run trading is not that different than sports gambling. You are taking a risk that your prediction will come true. If it does, you profit. If it does not, you lose money.
I prefer investing to sports gambling as I see it as easier since you don't have the juice to pay. However, it has many pitfalls as any risk system does. My advice would be to take whatever money you can afford to lose (same goes for sports gambling) and make some investments, even if it is for a couple hundred dollars at a time so you can learn how the market works. Keep in mind that if you trade frequently the commissions on trades can eat up that small amount.
Or, if you don't wish to potentially lose money there are web sites around that will allow you to trade for free. I choose to invest real money because it gives me the actual feelings that go along with investing and that is a part of the game.
If you are serious I would suggest trying to find some good investment forums. This one at theRX is rather weak even though there are some experience investors here.
