florida lost to ole miss AT HOME, now i will be the first to say that it is a different florida team now than it was then but still

point is, if you want to contend for a national championship DONT LOSE

My favorite coach of all-time...........but you can't believe this at this time.

psu was told that texas a&m would be too much for them last year, the year before they were told that tennessee had too much speed for them to stop

what happened?

i just dont understand what psu has done to have you thinking that they dont belong?

every team they have played they have DESTROYED, outside of an ohio state team that psu had to play on the road in a stadium where ohio state has lost 2 games in 7 years, not to mention it being a night game, with homecoming festivities...that makes for a tough tough matchup

texas tech barely beat a HORRIBLE nebraska team, why do they belong? because they beat a texas team at home, at night? i would bet my whole bankroll that if that game wasnt at home for tech that they would have lost...period

i will be real about it as well, with the way florida is playing, they scare me... they really do

however, give joe paterno over a month to prepare for a bowl game and you will see the results, take a look at his bowl record

everyone thought that miami would destroy psu in the fiesta bowl too... how'd that work out for miami?

Joe Paterno is nothing more then a prop on a stick anymore, he doesn't even coach the team, he's nothing more then a figurehead. Just like Bear Bryant towards the end with that mouth breathing stare .When tv broadcasters like Herbstreit have to convince us how much invloved Paterno is, that tells me one thing. he's trying to convince himself of that too

I've seen him ramble on during press conferences, can hardly understand him anymore. Do you really think he can command a presence on a practice field where the team actually understands what he is saying. When your over 80 you start failing in alot of areas, that doesn't help the football team at all. The assistants in that program are running the operation, not some 81 year old guy that can't speak straight or stand on 2 legs for that matter. If you think he is the one scheming against Meyer or Carroll in a BCS Game, I have some ocean front property in New Mexico for sell...He gets credit for the wins in that program undeservingly the last few years.. I like the guy and understand why he is their, but he is a puppet now, nothing more......

I believe they opened at -8. Either way I put decent coin on Iowa & might add more if the line rises.

i have been to practices and have seen first hand how "involved" coach paterno is....so you take your "hearsay" and i will take my "facts"

FACT is, he is very VERY much involved in every aspect of the program

Bradley may very well be the best coach in America. If you want to argue that we can do that. Joe Paterno isn't nearly as involved as he used to be but the fact is that they are 9-2 in their last 11 bowl games. Since Bradley got there he's winning bowl games at the best clip in the nation. Joe Paterno has probably the smartest staff in America. If you give his staff a month to prepare you better expect a good effort.

Iowa isn't very good but PSU is playing their last road game of the year. This is the game that they will struggle in the most. The nerves may get to them. PSU will be favored over Michigan State, if they get past this game, by 14 plus and they're a "ranked" team. Your comments that PSU isn't a top 20 team this year make you look absolutely clueless Fish. They've dominated everyone they've played. It's not like they've been squeeking by their lesser competition. They have a better resume than USC right now and you think USC is a top 5 team. That says a lot about how big of a "Big Ten" fan you are. USC hasn't beaten anyone this year, outside of the team that PSU beat. They lost to the team PSU beat by 40 and they haven't looked that impressive in plenty of games this year.

If you don't think that PSU will contend in their bowl game because of their preperation than you are losing your vision. Bradley may be the best game day coach in America and he will not allow them to be embarrassed on national television.

I don't see any facts from you except for the BS your spilling onto this forum. Just because you said your at practices and even say you can understand a 81 year old ramble on is not sufficent for me. Dude is fucking 81, 81 year olds just can't get up in front of people anymore and bark out instructions. I'm going by what i see, a 81 year old man that can't stand on 2 legs anymore that rambles on incoherently at times. Thats a fact. Penn St probably does have a great staff behind the puppet on a stick, not taking anything away from them.

I just flopped a set of dueces and lost my entire stack to a set of 3's.........on the next hand, I had my pocket K's called by pocket Q's and got ran down........................................however, your last two posts have relieved a ton of tension and replaced it with almost uncontrollable laughter.

Thank you sir

For a person who no longer bets you sure do look at the pointspreads a lot.

Im sure its for entertainment purposes only though.

I stated I do not bet "OFFSHORE" any longer.

My bad, but if you no longer bet for legal purposes offshore, betting with a local is not really any less illegal.

Good luck to us.

They have to get the ball to Greene a minimum 30 carries to stand a chance.

The thing is, if Iowa does happen to keep this game close, the coaching staff will find a way to lose the game.

IOWA is very, very young on the offensive side of the ball, as all their WR's, TE's, RB's and QB's are underclassmen........which doesn't fit well when facing a team with an above average defense.

Maybe your definition of underclassmen differs from most.

If not, then I think you need to watch a few more Hawkeye games.

Starting RB, Shonn Greene is a Junior
Starting TE's Tony Moeaki and Brandon Myers are both Seniors
Starting WR Andy Brodell is a Senior, and Trey Stross is a Junior.

That is 2/3rds of their total production rushing and recieving on the year coming from UPPERCLASSMEN. Even last saturday against Illinois, 72% of the total yards rushing/recieving yards came from the guys listed.

Ill give you the QB position, but to say the WR's, TE's, and RB's are underclassman is flat out false.

Fish Head knows the BIG TEN and knows Iowa football. Don't confuse him with facts. He knows what he is talking about. He spoke about his credentials as a Big Ten expert in his first post. Didn't you read it? :nohead:

Texas Tech has played TWO Div 1-AA games. SMU almost qualifies as a third. So much for the TOUGH schedule.
