I'm out. Thanks but no thanks. Maybe another time.

Still thinking that Butler either stays here, goes to the Saints for their 11th pick or equivalent, or goes somewhere else.

But if you twisted my arm I'd guess that he plays for the Pats in 2017 and maybe longer.

To be clear, I'm just speculating. Have no inside information whatsoever.

Here we we go again
as I've said many times .
Including a post about 5 post ago they giving up the 42nd and a 2018 pick.

So why would I make that bet when I agree with you?

Let's be clear, this is the 2nd time you're upgrading the Patriots compensation

You started with the Patriots getting the 76th pick in the 2017 draft (the Saints 3rd round pick)

You then upgraded to the 42nd pick in 2017

Now you're saying the 42nd in 2017 and a fifth round pick in 2018

I'm going to suggest you're the moving target my friend, I'm being consistent all along

The Saints are not getting Butler for their 3rd round pick (76th), especially when somebody would have to give up a 1st round pick to sign him.

The Saints will either give up a 1st round pick or some combination that's better than the 76th pick.

Today, I'll wager that the Pats get something better than the 76th this year and the 5th round next year, although that may be difficult to quantify depending upon the variables (if it's not obvious based on numbers, subjectivity enters the equation)

It's looks pretty obvious that Cooks and Butler were not connected, although it also appears the Patriots are willing to part with Butler and don't want to give him the money he's looking for.

Not the biggest Cooks fan in general but for a team with a 2-3 year horizon he is definitely better than a 1st Rd pick. Edelman is getting old and Gronk is injury prone as well.

Rex Burkhead was a underrated pickup too. He's bringing the white RB back.

Pats got to be the whitest team in the NFL. Whitest offense in the NFL bar none.
Guarantee this will be an issue while they are 12-2.

They should have a picture of all those guys on the jumbotron saying WHITE SUPREMACY!

But then it switches to superbowl highlights of James White.

Look up parameters please .

its called negotiations.

Parameters change change slightly during a negotiation process.
there have been so many things picks that have gone back and forth since this started 2 weeks ago it would make your head spin.

Believe it or not part of what changes what the saints give the patriots is tied to how much much the saints have to pay butler.

The less the saints have to pay butler the more valuable of an asset he is to the saints.
So they could not lock down the exact picks they have to give up till they know the exact figure they have to pay butler.

They have it all worked out.

If the saints have to pay butler A then they give the pats pick B if they have to pay butler Y then they give pats pick z.

Thats called parameters.

Things slightly change.

Even though this trade is part of the cooks trade butlers value is still not 100% established until a contract is ironed out.

His value changes based on what is agreed upon.

I get my info from someone who has been right about this stuff 100% of the time .

I have shared several things from him on this forum in the past.

I have shared things that caused point spread moves on saints games up to 7 on things I announced on here before the sports books even knew about it.

If you would like to continue dealing with absolutes in this negotiation process be my guest.

You just going to look foolish when butler will soon be a saint and you not getting pick 11 or 32.

Is this the same guy who said Brees was out for the year?

He's the guy who said he was 100% out for that week and posibably out for the year.
I posted it on the forum before the sports books knew about it and 2 hrs later the line moved 7 or 8 points .

And then you had idiots calling me an idiot when I gave info that resulted in a 7 or 8 point line move AFTER I reported it on this forum .

So yea that guy

Hah... dont forget his name is James WHITE...don't think thats just by coincidence.
I guarantee that there will be some moronic douche bag scribe point out the horrific purposeful discrepancy by the Pats along with being Trump supporting bigots.....just another reason to hate the Pats and another reason I love em.

Hey Chop what is your Saints insider saying about this situation?

It's been a couple of weeks and crickets as far as anything happening...

If this is a done deal why has it not happened yet?

I know you said it's all Butler's agents fault before but by now there has to be more to the story...

More likely Butler wants a chance at another ring before the big contract and he knows the Saints will be lucky to finish above .500.
