The latest is that Butler showed up to Patriot VOLUNTARY workouts. He was never going to the Saints for the garbage that Chop said he was. Several of us said that early in this thread. And there was no linkage to the Cooks deal either.

Butler is one of the best players in the league. If all the Saints had to do was give up their #11 to get him, the Saints are dumber than the cement that the Super Bowl carpet is laid on. Butler is worth much, much more than a hit or miss #11 draft pick.

The Patriots will gladly keep him for 3.9 mill and watch him anchor a secondary that will likely help lead the Pats to yet another SB. Several of us said that early in this thread, too.

Nothing but fake news out of New Orleans.
