Al of those racial epithets went right out the window with the NBAcan't find the original quote on indiana having more 3 star and up HS players than wisc/neb/minn combined.
as per nfl players, it goes 20 for indiana.... 22 for wisconsin, minnesota 11, nebraska 9... has wisconsin HS really come on the last 15 years with success of badgers? gets more kids taking younger football more seriously.
florida over california is interesting..... although i would say LA is the hotbed, not the rest of the state (sorry san fran and sacramento... oakland is smaller place)...... florida is entire state as is texas to large degree.........
one thing you can always look at is afro-american population and adjust it for the fact that tons of afro-americans in illinois and new york never play much football.
semi-racist question, but i'd love to nfl players broken down by race and state. or maybe QB/OL by state (that would take care of most white players and pick up a fair number of blacks too)

Langi Tuifua
Ranked #5 at his position (WDE) according to 247.
From the videos I've seen on him he is a one-man sack machine.
He gets off that first step as fast as any player I have seen before.
Spends a lot of his time in the backfield chasing and terrorizing QB's.
Moderately above. The only two teams that have out recruited Oregon in the Pac-12 are USC and UCLA. It might have been a different story if USC hadn't been hit with sanctions. I don't know what UCLA's problem is. But so far they haven't played up to their recruiting...a question i've wanted to ask about oregon for quite awhile....
would people say oregon plays "way above" or "moderately above" their recruiting rankings? or some other "descriptor"?
and of course that answer ties into something that i'm also always curious about. is the #5 ranked recruiting class much better than the #25 ranked class? or is it just some giant, imprecise fog?.... i'm thinking there are only a few players each year that clearly differentiate themselves from the recruiting field (clowney would be one for sure. semi-brain freeze right now but fournette, prior (pryor?), clausen etc...)
Trying to keep my bias aside, I would say they play moderately above their recruiting rankings.
i think they do two things well to help that tho:
1) they do a great job finding undervalued players that fit "THEIR" system and mantra.
2) they do a very good job of developing those "undervalued" players.

What gets to me from time to time is when a promising recruit bombs out one way or
another. I know there have been a few that escape memory but lately Jeremiah Masoli
and probably the worst loss of all had super-athlete/TE Colt Lyerla's cocaine and DUI
troubles whupping his butt. Green Bay tried him out and passed on him after 2 weeks.
It's too bad because I really liked him as a player. 6'6" 250 lb. TE who could carry the
ball and make good cuts with his fast feet right before he mowed down some lucky
linebacker assigned to stop him just in case. They lose them all the time up in Corvallis
because of academics. At least Lyerla still wants a shot reinventing himself in the NFL.
I'd like to see him make it.
