Do any teams besides Oregon play in the PAC? Quack Quack

Maybe Colorado finally started to turn the corner on the long road back to being competitive once again? First time in a long time that I can recall any vibe of optimism from that program, even though they are picked for last place in their division one again. Taking a chance on new defensive coordinator Jim Leavitt and the $170+ million they are pumping into new facilities leads be to believe they are finally serious about joining the college football arms race.

Then you too are a traitor. This is what we mean when we say this: " A graduate from(pick your PC 12 school other than USC. We will use Oregon for this demonstration) Oregon is a Duck for 4 years, but a graduate from USC is a Trojan for life." We USC alums can understand why you would wager against Oregon. They have been such a crappy team for so many years now. They still have NOT won a N.C. The Oregon alumni suck. You are the perfect example of that, but at least you claim to have graduated from Pot U. Others in here did not. So tell us. Where does Oregon finish this season? I have talked to people that believe that Stanford beats out Oregon for the Pac 12 North title. Now I know that Oregon is depending on some idiot JC transfer to lead them at QB, but assuming that he finally passes his final exam at Eastern Washington, if he is anything close to the hype that Oregon homers give him, he should be better than Stanford's Kevin Hogan. Stanford has no offense to speak of. Both play USC, so perhaps we Trojans can decide this for you. At any rate, it is going to be extremely difficult for any Pac 12 team to get into the playoffs.

I think they go 9-3 or 8-4, if the OL can stay healthy and they get good CB play 10 wins is possible which would make eight straight 10 win seasons. It's going to be a down year but with it's best ever recruiting class coming in 2016 they should be in great shape after this year.

Does anyone have the 411 on what happened with the coordinator changes at Utah? They had a pretty good year and these guys seemed to lateral or even lower positions elsewhere. I was thinking that the Utes would have a certain continuity advantage over Michigan in week 1, but with two new coordinators maybe not so much.

Utah offense and defense
In: TBD
Out: Dave Christensen and Kalani Sitake

The circumstances of Utah’s staff changes are far more interesting than the names involved. Neither coordinator left for positions far and away better than the ones they have. Defensive coordinator Kilani Sitake took the same position at Oregon State, and offensive coordinator Dave Christensen left to become offensive line coach at Texas A&M. Losing Sitake, Utah’s best recruiter and leader of a solid defense, is a major blow.

Steve Sarkisian reportedly drunk at USC donor event, drops F-bomb, pulled off stage. Loser!@#0

http://www.pacifictakes.com/usc-tro...alute-to-troy-drunk-rumors-inebriated-turn-up

I wonder why he would do something like that....allow himself to get drunk.... unless he became so euphoric because a large donation was just received.
There are a lot of coaches who can't hold their liquor.....Paul "Bear" Bryant was the opposite; He could douse a bottle of good bourbon and walk away "as sober as a judge".......

Conan, I'd like to hear your thoughts on who has the better season in northern California, Stanford or Cal?

Not a huge fan of sonny dykes but he has a veteran qb now who is very capable. He lets him have free reign. Across the bay is another talented qb at stanford who is asked to do a lot less with his offense. Both seasoned qbs. I suppose it comes down to the supporting cast but I do think Cal gives Stanford a run for its money this year and in the process becomes bowl eligible. Am I misreading this one? Your thoughts are appreciated.

Early this past off season HC Winningham was threatening to leave because was at odds with AD and was trying to get more $$$ for his assistants. During this time, Christensen was poached by A&M and Sitake to job with Gary Anderson at Oregon St. Shortly after athletic dept came up with more $$$ and I believe extension for Winningham.

I see things haven't changed much for you!

Best of luck with your clown show head coach. I honestly don't think Pat Haden could have made a worse decision than bringing Sark on board. I mean what in Sark's history showed that he had the stones to bring usc back to greatness? He is a mediocre coach with zero success to back up his bravado. Oregon may not win a national championship any time soon but I take the ducks staff over usc's every damn time. Hell if I had to rate the pac 12 staffs USC's wouldn't even rank in the top 5 in the conference. Haden gets what he deserves as do the long suffering 'sc fans I guess. Sucks to be you trojan for life....
