Yes, 2 and 2. Out of 5. Or 4 total. Divided by two. For crissakes.

They are all tonight SS. I believe 11pm is the first fight (west coast time, so 2am Eastern).

11 weight classes X 2 semifinal bouts each.

Greek has them listed but no odds. 5dimes has them, and you may be able to find them at some European books (I know WillHill had them) if you can bet there.

I will have to settle for 79/1 or +2 units then.

At +250, it's worth a unit on Jeffries.

FWIW, Egan will be the favorite in the finals IF he wins. But he would be a small favorite.

Bantamweights:

Y. Leon (CUB) vs. B. Julie (MRI)
V. Gojan (MDA) vs. B.U. Enkhbat (MGL)

Another Cuban has emerged as Yankiel Leon vaulted to prominance with two convincing wins, one over second-ranked Worapoj Petchkoom. Leon will face 100/1 longshot Bruno Julie of Mauritius who has parlayed his dream draw into his country's first fighting medal.

Mongolia's Badar-Uugan Enkhbat has impressed everyone in his three bouts despite limited opposition. Another 100/1 shot in Moldova's Veaceslav Gojan gets a well-deserved medal after a shaky 1-1 tiebreaking opening match. World champion Sergey Vodopyanov fell in the second round, perhaps the victim of questionable judging.

Leon and Enkhbat should cruise to victory tonight over their overmatched opponents. This should set up a very evenly-matched gold medal bout. If either of the two longshots win, it would be a shock.

Fight should be on CNBC or Universal tonight. Who knows with their coverage though, but that is what is listed.

Featherweights:

V. Lomachenko (UKR) vs. Y. Kilic (TUR)
K. Djelkhir (FRA) vs. S. Imranov (AZE)

The gold medal bout in this class essentially took place in the first round when Vasyl Lomachenko of the Ukraine gained revenge on world champion Albert Selimov of Russia. When Lomachenko then easily dispatched Asian games champ Sultonov of Uzbekistan, the gold medal was a foregone conclusion. The only question left is will Lomachenko win the Val Barker Award as the tournament's most outstanding boxer. Lomachenko faces Yakup Kilip of Turkey who has given no indication he stands much chance in his semifinal bout.

The other semifinal tilt has France's Khedafi Djelkhir, the fighter who sent USA's Raynell Williams home, up against Azerbaijan's Shahin Imranov who impressed with an upset of Cuba's Idiel Torriente to gain a medal. It is probably a more even fight than the oddsmakers are giving credit for and an Imranov upset would not shock here.

The only question left is who Lomachenko will beat to win his gold medal. Even though Djelkhir is more highly though of, I like Imranov to upset him based on his impressive win over Torriente.

Lightweights:

H. Javaldyan (ARM) vs. A. Tischenko (RUS)
Y. Ugas (CUB) vs. D. Sow (FRA)

When Britain's Frankie Gavin failed to make weight, that essentially made this class a two-horse race. Alexey Tischenko of Russia is the reigning European Champion and should cruise into the finals over Armenia's Hrachik Javakhyan who has the easiest route ever to a medal. Javakhyan got a first round bye, then had to beat an overmatched fighter from Nigeria, then got a walkover when his opponent got sick. Tischenko should dispatch of him in his usual business-like fashion.

Yordenis Ugas of Cuba will likely be there to meet Tischenko in the finals. Ugas has been relatively untested and should continue to cruise over gangly, unorthodox Daouda Sow of France. Sow, a still alive 150-1 shot, has scratched and clawed his way into medal contention.

Tischenko and Ugas are on a collision course to meet in the gold medal match. Sow has an outside shot with his unusual style if he can get an early lead and frustrate Ugas.

Light welterweights:

M. Boonjumnong (THA) vs. R. Iglesias (CUB)
F. Diaz (DOM) vs. A. Vastine (FRA)

This may be the toughest weight class to call as conceivably all four fighters have a shot at the gold. Manus Boonjumnong is the top-ranked fighter and defeated world champion Serik Sapiyev of Kazakhstan in the quarterfinals. Roniel Iglesias is not as experienced on the world stage, but as we've seen Cuba has been as dominant as any.

Felix Diaz was a 200-1 shot at the outset of competition and has not exactly faced a murderer's row in advancing. Alexis Vastine of France has the more impressive list of opponents and should merit the nod. Vastine was 150-1 at the start, so either way a true longshot will advance to the finals.

Boonjumnong-Iglesias is very tough to call. On paper the Thai fighter has the edge, but we've seen this Olympics you can throw that paper out when Cuba is fighting. Vastine-Diaz is a virtual pick 'em. I like the steeper competition Vastine has faced, therefore give him the nod.

Welterweights:

C. Banteaux (CUB) vs. S. Hanati (CHN)
B. Sarsekbayev (KAZ) vs. J.J. Kim (KOR)

Another tight division that is anyone's ball game here. Carlos Banteaux of Cuba got fortunate when he did not have to face highly regarded Non Boonjumnong of Thailand who was a first-round upset victim. Silamu Hanati of China will no doubt have huge home crowd support. Hanati is the higher ranked fighter and easily dispatched a Cuban-trained, if not Cuban-born, fighter in Toureano Johnson of the Bahamas in the quarters.

Bakhyt Sarsekbayev has been giving both his opponents and scrabble players nightmares- the opponents with his game and the scrabble players with his name. Sarsekbayev may go on to be Kazakhstan's second most famous citizen (behind Borat, of course). Jung-Joo Kim of Korea shocked NBC, if not the boxing world, when he beat current world champ Demetrius Andrade of the US. That qualification merits him serious consideration.

Hanati should have enough to beat Banteaux with the home crowd roaring his approval. Banteaux is one of the younger, less regarded Cubans who we may see again in four years. Sarsekbayev is a small favorite over Kim and I will give the Kazakhstani the nod barring Kim pulling another rabbit out of his hat.

Middleweights:

D. Sutherland (IRE) vs. J. Degale (GBR)
E. Correa (CUB) vs. V. Kumar (IND)

Sutherland-Degale is an intriguing matchup as they have met up before and are pretty equal. Darren Sutherland has been dominant and impressively pasted Alfonso Parra of Venezuela, who was ranked fourth in the world, 11-1 in the quarters. James Degale gave USA's Shawn Estrada a boxing lesson then took out the top-ranked fighter in the class, Kazakhstan's Bakhtiyar Artayev, in the quarters. Sutherland was 50/1 and Degale was 80/1 when the games opened.

Emilio Correa was dominant in his first two wins then showed he could bang out a close decision over Elshod Rasulov of Uzbekistan. His outright dominance of Sergiy Dervyanchenko, who is not lightly regarded in this class, in the second round was impressive. Vijender Kumar of India earned his country their first boxing medal ever. His awkward style worked over lighter competition, but Kumar may need Harold in the ring with him to beat the Cuban.

Correa should cruise past Kumar who will be ecstatic just to medal. The other fight is one of the more intriguing of the night as the battle of the British Isles will be an out-and-out war. Both guys are entertaining to watch and Degale's confidence could propel him to the finals.

Light Heavyweights:

T. Jeffries(GBR) vs. K. Egan (IRE)
X. Zheng (CHN) vs. Y. Shynaliyev (KAZ)

The battle of the British Isles version two will have the Irish roaring in the stands as their top hope for gold, Kenny Egan, takes on Mother England's Tony Jeffries. Jeffries beat Eleider Alvarez of Columbia by tiebreaker in his opening bout then dominated his quarterfinal bout. Egan, the Joe Calzaghe lookalike, has entertained while dominated all of his opponents. He steps up in class her against a fairly evenly matched opponent.

The other half of the bracket will no doubt keep the crowd raucous as the home country's Xiaoping Zhang fights. Zhang hasn't won much in the style category in winning three consecutive bouts. His opponent Kazakhstan's Shynaliyev won his last bout when his opposition bit him and was disqualified. Shynaliyev has looked superior stylistically to Zhang.

All longshots here with opening odds of 66/1, 80/1, 50/1, and 18/1. Egan-Jeffries could go either way with Egan getting the slight edge. Shynaliyev has looked better than Zheng, but don't forget where the bout is taking place.

Heavyweights:

O. Acosta (CUB) vs. R. Chakhkeiv (RUS)
D. Wilder (USA) vs. C. Russo (ITA)

Three of the top four fighters in the world are here in this class and the other one, second-ranked Viktor Zuyev of Belarus, lost to one of them in the first round. Rakhim Chakhkeiv of Russia and Osmay Acosta of Cuba is a virtual tossup. Chakhkeiv rates slightly higher with his experience, but that has meant nothing to the inexperienced Cubans thus far.

The last American hope in boxing is raw Deontay Wilder. He faces a Paul Bunyan-like order in the form of world champion Clemente Russo of Italy. Russa dispatched the aforementioned Zuyev in round one and should have too much class and experience for the young Wilder.

Russo should handle Wilder in his half and Chakhkeiv rates a slight edge over Acosta. The only huge upset would be if Wilder stunned the world champion. It would be a huge surprise if it did happen.

Super Heavyweights:

V. Glazkov (UKR) vs. Z. Zheng (CHN)
R. Cammarelle (ITA) vs. D. Price (GBR)

The big boys will finish off the card. Ukraine's Vyacheslav Glazkov won a key first round match over pan american games champ Robert Alfonso of Cuba. He will face off against the home country's Zheng Zhilei. Zhelei has dismantled two overmatched opponents. This could be one of the Olympic bouts where whoever get a two-point lead first will clutch and grab to victory.

World Champion Robert Cammarelle has been little tested in his first two bouts. That could change with fast-rising David Price of Great Britain. Price stopped European Champ Islam Timurziev in the second round then beat an injured Jaroslav Jaksto of Lithuania in the quarters. Price is fun to watch and is a live dog here.

Glazkov is a class over Zheng and should win unless there is some monkey business. That is far from a given, however. I like Price as a live dog against the world champ as well.
