we live in a world where you will do exactly what the government tells you to do or they will kill you.

it's that simple

pay your taxes or you will die

there may not be the death penalty for not paying taxes but don't file taxes for a few years, you'll get a letter one day telling you to comply, you throw out the demand letter and you keep getting them over a period of time. then one day the police show up to take you to court, you resist and they end up killing you because you were a threat to them. all perfectly legal.

that is what happened to this guy, he was selling smokes without paying the taxes on them, they came to arrest him, he did not comply, he is dead... perfectly legal.

huh?

USA has implemented capital punishment for tax evasion?

which state(s)

:)

that's correct

but everything is set up for law enforcement to easily kill non-compliant people.

no one is saying that cops go out looking to kill people.

what happens is people that don't comply get killed, someone should look up the stats on all situations where a cop or cops kill someone it was in an instance of non-compliance. didn't put hands on head, reached for something, ran away, didn't follow instructions.

in the suburbs kids are taught to do what the cops tell them to do and to fully comply
in the hood kids 'keep it real'

doesn't matter if you're black or white, if you don't listen to the cops, you're gonna eat bullets or the nightstick

100% agree.

Government/Law Enforcement have too much power now.

Patrick J. Lynch, the president of the Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association, assailed Mr. de Blasio, saying that officers around the city felt he had thrown them “under the bus.”
“What we did not hear, is that you cannot resist arrest,” Mr. Lynch said at a news conference.
“We did not hear that that’s why these police officers were at that location that day,” he said. “The community called and complained and said there’s a problem at that location and we were asked to respond.”
“If the mayor wants to change policies and wants us to stand down against crime then say that,” he added. “It’s his policies that we go out and we enforce and the laws of the state of New York.”

I'm not even looking at it that way. and it really has Nothing to do with his past. Even though you feel it does.

Of course his past has something to do with it. Maybe the officers have arrested him 5 times before, I would assume he's up to no good too.

That doesn't mean they were right, with 4 or 5 cops no reason to cuff him so they were obviously in the wrong but I can't imagine they tried to kill him. But to get off without any charges at all? That's pretty shocking. If a cop told me to get on the ground and I didn't listen, swiped his hand away 3 times, I would expect to be put on the ground.

I also if being arrested 31 times before, should know if a cop approaches me, do what he says.

Justice system in American isn't perfect, OJ got off, this cop got off, but compared to many other parts of the world its.... its pretty darn good here. People want to be scared of walking on the street in the US with a cop there?? try going to Mexico for a day and deal with the cops there. They will literally rob and beat you blind just because they can

if he hadn't broken the law and resisted arrest he would have been fine.

Crazy people defend this cop.

You can't just put the sleeper hold on anyone who breaks the law.

Sounds like statist logic. So as long as I obey the law I'll be okay. The average person breaks the law every day and doesn't even know it, you included, that's how many laws there are. I guess Rosa Parks should have just obey'd the law and gone to the back of the bus, police should have killed her for non-compliance.

Are you really going to compare Rosa Parks stand against segregation to selling cigarettes illegally?

You don't have to obey the law but when you know you have done wrong admit it or let the due process work itself out don't resist.
