The Grand Jury did indict someone involved with this case today, the guy that filmed it.
According to the guy that filmed it, the police planted evidence on him implicating him in a crime in retaliation.

Clearly Garner was baiting him so he could win a suit. The blacks do that. Its called the ghetto lottery. Watch the video. Garner slapped the cops hand away 3 times. Resisted arrest, using his size to intimidate. Nobody could have predicted that the choke would be fatal. People need to be responsible for their actions and Garner was a fat fuck who was a choke hold and heart attack away from death. He shouldn't put himself in these positions if he cared. Nobody will miss him.
I think escalating would be shooting the guy in the head. I'm all for holding police accountable but this guy resisted arrest and cops are trained to take whatever measures they can to gain compliance. Its stupid to resist, no matter how unjust the arrest is. Took 3 cops to bring him down and without the choke I doubt he was going to be restrained. Can't let the monkeys run the zoo. The "I can't breathe" is silly as if he couldn't breathe he couldn't talk. Cops have to be tough in this area. This happened in a bad area - one of the worst in the city.
Everyone is missing the point with Ferguson and Garner. This problem isn't with the racist police or the judicial system. I've never been choked out or shot. You know why? I'm not doing anything illegal. If you're not a scumbag, and don't associate with any, then you're not going to have problems with the police.

Better education, better trade skill programs, and more accountability. The media and public ALWAYS focus on the outcome rather than the problem. The same thing happened in the Newtown shooting, every idiot focused on gun control when the problem was mental healthcare.
At the end of the day, both these cops are going to lose their jobs and essentially their lives are ruined, for trying their best to do their jobs.

the key here is that the cop used a banned form of restraining. that is what he is responsible for. you can't compress and occlude major vessels that are likely causing a percentage of ischemia as is. and i'm sure he didn't know garner had any medical conditions, but he sure as hell should've known his own department's rules. had the cop followed protocol, garner would be alive (other wild scenarios aside.)

Grand jury always favors the prosecutor. For a no indict to be returned the evidence has to be overwhelming.

but everything is set up for law enforcement to easily kill non-compliant people.
no one is saying that cops go out looking to kill people.
what happens is people that don't comply get killed, someone should look up the stats on all situations where a cop or cops kill someone it was in an instance of non-compliance. didn't put hands on head, reached for something, ran away, didn't follow instructions.
in the suburbs kids are taught to do what the cops tell them to do and to fully comply
