This is bullshit, and the problem is we're over regulated by stupid laws. The average person unknowingly commits 2 to 3 misdemeanors a day, and that needs to change. If a cop wants to get you on something he can, the guy who videotaped this received threats from the police too.

Even more ridiculous: The Staten Island DA got an indictment for the person who filmed Eric Garner's homicide

Here I Fixed that for you

I know its cool to be confrontational with the police and its racist to think otherwise, but normal people don't die from a choke hold. If the cop wanted to kill him he would have shot him. Choke is very reasonable.

This guy died because he was fat and smoked. Thats the only reason the choke hold killed him.

How about you let me tackle you and choke you for 30 seconds and we will report back on how that turns out for you?

The NYPD banned chokeholds in 1993.

Want to guess why?

This one gets me pissed off. Should be protests about this not Mike Brown.

EXACTLY Correct. The one case they are the most upset about is the empty one. Trayvon, this case, some others in the pipeline are all demonstration worthy. How they didn't come up with an indictment is shocking. I hope they release all the GJ data, like they did in Ferguson.

What's pathetic and sad, is that the liberals sought out and covered the most ambiguous case of police brutality, instead of this one.

Garner was clearly confrontational with dollar signs in the back of his head. Its the ghetto lottery folks. Use of force settlement is the jackpot for these clowns. Supporting them and ignoring the grand jury just makes you sound like a jackass.

Getting him for murder was never going to happen but something like reckless endangerment would have been adequate. No details announced yet if the grand jury even deliberated on lesser charges though. I still don't think the choke did much of anything and the prior medical conditions this guy had were 99.9% responsible (plus the whole resisting arrest choice he made where cops had to bring him down), but since grabbing a guy like that is illegal for a police officer and the situation ultimately resulted in a death you had to figure at least some lesser charges would be applicable. Are there any options left or does the officer skate? I don't think he's guilty of murder by any stretch but at least toss some misdemeanors on his record for his non-deliberate contribution to the death.

I am glad you are no a judge. That is the most ridiculous statement I've heard in quite some time.

KFC is the killer here. He died of a heart attack not a choke hold genius.

Maybe I'm not a genius like you, but I saw man put into a chokehold, after which he was pronounced dead. I think this man is alive today, had this not happened. Nice analogy about KFC though, it actually tells me more about you, than the facts of this case.

Why's that? Cop did something illegal and coroner's report says that the illegal action contributed to someone's death... I personally don't think the choke hold did much of anything that taking the guy down normally wouldn't have done but knowing those 2 facts above it doesn't seem right that the officer skated with nothing. Where do you believe I'm wrong?

Before anybody jumps to conclusions. Garner has 31 prior arrests and is a career criminal. He also happens to be a fat piece of shit who was also a chain smoker. Just about anything could have killed this guy on any given day of the week.

Yes forget what the grand jury has to say. Screw justice and join the Twitter lynching!

I'm not for that. I do think based on what I have read and watched of this case, I would have voted to indict.

Not to say I would vote guilty at a trial, but to indict, yes.

So in your utopia questioning the government, our justice system, and stupid laws, is wrong. Fuck that, that's a fascist mentality. The guy was harassed and then killed for selling loose cigarettes and not paying taxes on them. Fuck stupid victimless laws.
