Action play:
Spurs/Wizards Under 193
The Wizards have played, nothing but "Over" games recently. The Over is 8-0, in Washington's last 8 games. But consider their competition, Nets, Pacers, Grizzlies, TWolves, etc. All very sub par defensive teams, to say the least..The Spurs, of all teams, know that the key to winning games, especially on the road is defense. Missing one of their top 3 scorers, will only magnify the significance of playing a sound defensive game, imo. Wizards only real scoring threats, are Jameson and Butler. If one of these two are kept in check, Washington's options on offense become very limited. I think the Spurs know this, and will do their best to shut down Washington's leading scorer, (Jameson), with the strong defensive play of Duncan, and a little bit of help "D" around the baseline. Jameson is averaging 22 pts per game on the season, and 27 points per contest in his last 3 games played, but against the Spurs he has struggled, averaging 14 ppg, on 31% shooting from the field, in their last 3 h2h matchups. If Jameson does not score, Washington can look horrid on offense and I expect that to be the case tonight. Spurs will get their fare share of points, but, without, Ginobili, this team also struggles to score and would be surprised to see them break 100 in this one. So I'll take my chances with the Under.
GL as always,
