You could actually make the case for FSU and Bama regardless if Texas beat them. If it is a 3 way then you have to consider how all 3 teams have done not just Texas is in because they beat Bama then it is either Bama or FSU. If it is impossible to keep out the SEC then you can keep out Texas. Actually makes more sense than keeping out FSU imo. If you can claim that the season doesn't matter and the QB being out trumps all thantyou can say Texas beating Bama doesn't trump everything.

Which is why they are ranked ahead of Ohio and Georgia

The Playoff Comittee is right because the Playoff Committee says that theyr’e right. That’s a hell of an argument.

They’re also ranked ahead of Alabama by AP and Coaches‘s poll.

Biggest achievement as in going undefeated in the toughest conference and winning that SEC CHAMPIONSHIP
Remember when Alabama lost to Auburn and not only didn’t win the SEC championship, but didn’t even play in the game?

When you use arguments that have no merit, they come back to bite you in the ass.

False. I never asked that. My reply was to your using the Committee’s ranking as evidence for why the Comittee’s ranking was right. No need to debate with people using sophistry.. 🕊️

Pete says Vinny is silly and ignorant. Good job Pete you are wise.
Haha Pete. Silly = Funny. You’re not the smartest guy in room and your opinion about as useful as an a$$hole on an elbow. I clearly predicted who the 4 in would be. You did not. Take your L and move on.

But it’s fun no less to hear the diff rants

I look forward to next years 12 teams. Should be less debate for the 10-11 & 12 teams in.

Once again HEAD TO HEAD trumps all of this. I don't care how many days ago it was, it happened this season with both rosters healthy. Texas beat them and were the better team. You can't say Alabama is better than them when they lost to them. Get real
No it doesn’t

CFB fans here goes.
Who knows who will play who but my prediction is:
Michigan, Washington, Texas and Alabama gets in due to the committee's love affair with the SEC.
Love affair?

Look at the last 6 yrs, SEC won 5.

Lots of blowouts against overrated Big 10 and Big 12 teams. Look it up!

You see....you just decided to call the SEC the toughest conference, but it's NOT this year. By the same rationale you just used, FSU has a right to decide their 13-0 season was an achievement. So with the mandate to put Bama in, from the fallout who gets screwed? Aside from the football fans that want honest selection and competition. That's easy. The ACC and FSU. Not only did the game last night give the committee an out to eliminate FSU. Beyond the fact the qb that played yesterday for FSU wouldn't see the field in what would have been the first round playoff, FSU is from the ACC. And if you're gonna leave someone out, who better? After all, it's not like leaving out an undefeated Clemson with a nationally recognized coach like Dabo Sweeny. Or Miami with their giant metro viewership. It's FSU, Tallahassee, that's like Baton Rouge only smaller. And their coach? He has no cache to get on any national media outlets like that fucking liar Nick Saban. Hell....no one even knows who the head coach of FSU is.
The real question is: Had FSU's starter been healthy would the committee have booted FSU all the same so Alabama / Texas could be in? Because you can't take Bama without bringing along Texas. Chances are FSU was never gonna be in. ACC has more cred than the Big 12 normally, that's kind of true. But Texas beat Bama so if Bama's in you have to put Texas in... If you're going to have any backstop against a vulgar display of outright bias.

But that's what this has become. A vulgar display of outright bias.

a few things;

1) the sec is the toughest conference this year. It’s really not close. 5 teams inside the top 12. And a 6th right on the cusp. They are hands down far and away the best conference. They also have two national championship caliber teams.

2) you can be pissed off that Florida state didn’t get in and admit the committee wasn’t having some sort of sec bias. Objectively you can see why the committee made the decision, even if you disagree with it

this year 5 power conference teams all had legitimate cases. Anyone that uses or cries bias loses credibility. Again you can feel sorry for FSU and think they got screwed and not scream bias or think the committee messed up.

How many SEC teams got in the field of 12 next year.
Be prepared to see a minimum of 4 SEC schools every year. The playing of a conference championship game will be pointless and you'll begin to see high level players sit it out, or develop mysterious injuries. The SEC won't cancel the game, there is too much money involved, but I think there will be some scenario soon where a 2 loss SEC team who plays in the conference championship game, and would have EASILY been one of the top 12 teams for the playoff, losses to become a 3 loss team and misses out on the playoffs and bemoans why they were forced to play the game.
