All that committe did was rationalize a way to eliminate a deserving team for one of the committee's favorites. The playoffs should be about achievement....not entitlement.

Biggest achievement as in going undefeated in the toughest conference and winning that SEC CHAMPIONSHIP
You see....you just decided to call the SEC the toughest conference, but it's NOT this year. By the same rationale you just used, FSU has a right to decide their 13-0 season was an achievement. So with the mandate to put Bama in, from the fallout who gets screwed? Aside from the football fans that want honest selection and competition. That's easy. The ACC and FSU. Not only did the game last night give the committee an out to eliminate FSU. Beyond the fact the qb that played yesterday for FSU wouldn't see the field in what would have been the first round playoff, FSU is from the ACC. And if you're gonna leave someone out, who better? After all, it's not like leaving out an undefeated Clemson with a nationally recognized coach like Dabo Sweeny. Or Miami with their giant metro viewership. It's FSU, Tallahassee, that's like Baton Rouge only smaller. And their coach? He has no cache to get on any national media outlets like that fucking liar Nick Saban. Hell....no one even knows who the head coach of FSU is.
The real question is: Had FSU's starter been healthy would the committee have booted FSU all the same so Alabama / Texas could be in? Because you can't take Bama without bringing along Texas. Chances are FSU was never gonna be in. ACC has more cred than the Big 12 normally, that's kind of true. But Texas beat Bama so if Bama's in you have to put Texas in... If you're going to have any backstop against a vulgar display of outright bias.

But that's what this has become. A vulgar display of outright bias.

Louisville QB looked like he was on the take.

FSU scored least points of p5 teams who won. Anyone with a sack knows they are not a top 4 or 5 or 6 team. Dawgs and OSU better.

If committee puts FSU in it’ll prove they are incompetent

Alabama is much better than FSU.

Instead of insisternetting on being right, just admit that if Clemson were in the same spot, you wouldn't - and no one would say this.
The better question is......If FSU is that undeserving, why isn’t UGA #5 and FSU #6?

Bama will win it all. Laughing so hard at FSU. They got left off because they would have bern the sacrificial lamb. You can't have a playoff without the SEC Champions.

I think they should. There are three undefeated conference champions and a one loss conference champion who beat Alabama on their own field… by double digits. There really shouldn’t be any debate at all.

Exactly. The committee has in essence taken FSU's depth chart into account.

If the committee gets to decide a 13-0 PowerFive team isn't worth the playoff, it's madness. Arguing that another team **would** won H2H is using your hypothetical opinion as evidence.

Last I checked, the games - the actual games and their results - determine who wins the championship. The beauty of sports is that the "better team" doesn't always win. If you don't lose, you can literally not do anything more.

Why even play the games if an undefeated Power5 school who's historically great, and one of the 3 non-SEC champions since 2005 to actually win.

And if you're going with The CommItEe jUSt ChOsE tHe beSt tEaMZ then explain why
Georgia, &, Ohio State aren't in it.

Because all four of those teams would be favored against every other team in the country.

Again, if this were Clemson at 13-0, no one would argue they weren't good enough.

You make good arguments but Ohio st & Georgia did not win conference so can’t compare.
