Lol, Garnett had knee surgery during their 2nd year together and was never the same player after that. And they didn't come together until they were old. Kudos to Kobe for coming back strong the next season and showing that killer instinct, heart of a champion, stepping on the other persons throat after the Celts blew him off the court by 40 in an elimination game (to this day the biggest elimination game rout in finals history)

Or as I like to call it "Getting to play the Magic and Nuggets in the finals and conf finals", nice work if you can get it.

not kobe's fault boston wasn't a strong enough team to get to the finals year after year. if you wanna claim the beatdown, you also have to acknowledge the fact that your team hasn't been relevant ever since. and saying kobe hasn't played anyone in the finals doesn't help either when the east has been trash for over a decade outside of lebron. the finals are won in the western conference championship

Oh you thought we were doing some type of Kobe/Celtics fan thing? No, I'm just saying if his "killer instinct" was a real attribute that meant he didn't lose when the going got tough or provided massive surplus value over LeBron in high leverage situations, well it didn't show up in the results. His teams were dominated plenty of times in his career. And he has nothing on his resume close to LeBron's championships in 2013 or 2016.

If he has some killer instinct that gives him an advantage over LeBron in high leverage situations thus making him better, well it isn't shown in the results. That is what it is.

We saw Kobe play on bad teams from '05-7 and we've seen LeBron play on bad teams and even when adjusting for conferences, the results aren't close. Why wouldn't the results be close? Because again, LeBron James is better than Kobe Bryant. Say it w/ me folks.

i agree that lebron is better as evidenced by my name when you click on who voted for lebron.

i think that kobe consistently gets chosen despite the outcomes or stats that are against him because they respect work ethic, drive, and competitiveness. the difference between kobe and a lot of other legends is that kobe isn't afraid to fail. that is the teammate a lot of players want, and that is why he gets so much praise whether you like it or not. he has failed but that has never stopped him from competing. all you see is the box score of them being blown out by 40 and that is somehow evidence of his lack of effort or killer instinct. see the difference is those who know kobe, know that he showed up hours before the game shooting and working out and hours after. there was no vacation after that loss. he heads straight back to the drawing board.

I'm not taking anything away from him, I think he's one of the best players of all time and obviously ran very good in terms of circumstance by going to the Lakers rather than a team like the Cavs. I'm just saying who is objectively better and his demeanor or personality doesn't give him an edge over LeBron that people think it does. That's absurd. He has no relevant results that have shown it has.

I explained why the reason for this is in post #101.

OJ killed 2 people and it doesn't make him any less of a running back. Whatever it is that triggers snowflakes about LeBron doesn't mean people just get to pretend that guys are better than him.

Road2Pedo/Jaguara accusing Patsfan ( one of the
Most knowledgable sports guys in here) of trolling and not knowing sports.

Now that shit is comedy gold.

Lol, you sure are obsessed with pedos...something to tell us old man?

Oh really? Patsfan knows sports? Why? Because you said so? Bias much? Your voice of approval for anything is hurting his cause more than anything Lol.

Now that's comedy gold.

You're pathetic and so easy. Lol.

One bitter old troll defending another LOL.

The readers of this forum know who is the real troll between you and PatsFan. It's not like it's not painfully obvious or anything.

The more you post, the more of a fool you prove yourself to be, it's actually quite comical.

I didn't discredit him. I said LeBron James is clearly better than him.

"Killer instinct" is just something Skip Bayless and ESPN taught you. He's come up short in big games a ton in his career.

If LeBron got drafted by the Lakers in 1996, he would have more rings than Kobe got. If Kobe got drafted by the Cavs in '03, he would have less rings than LeBron has. If LeBron and Kobe play on = teams, LeBron's team does better.

Why does all of this happen? Because if we're not bball fishes, we think LeBron James is better than Kobe Bryant.

No, ESPN doesn't teach me shit neither did that clown Skip.. That's just another one of your assumptions and making shit up as you go along. You aren't cut out for debates and I won't waste my time with you.

I never said Lebron wasn't better but you were attacking Kobe Bryant's killer instinct and trying to discredit that aspect of his legacy so don't get it confused.

You have no debate skills, you aren't even reading or sticking to the issue, or understanding.

It's like arguing with a child or a confused old coot. Says a lot about you when another proven and grossly bias and not very objective old coot like zit comes to your defense and says you know a lot about sports lol

You can't make this shit up. Lol

Good bye clowns..as for you justinecruise..you are the biggest joke on this forum and you're an embarrassment. Lol. The fact that you chime in with your +1s shows how pathetically desperate you are to fit in and find the most tiniest little speck of approval you can from these clowns.

As for me? I'll call a spade a spade.

Most of the guys in this thread clearly don't know sports but you are the worst justine. Some of the shit you say about sports is just comical. One of the first posts I read from you when I joined is when you said Aaron Rodgers is out for the year....Lol. And he played the very next game. (Winning me my bet)

Yawn...

Have fun clowns.

Gonna go enjoy my over 47.5 winnings. Hoping you clowns at least learned something and tailed on that. I only posted it a week ago. Maybe you clowns should listen and try to learn something instead of just arguing for the sake of arguing because you're petty and bitter and old.

You're never too old to learn something patsfan...and you're never too old to become a good christian zitfacefesteringpedo

cheersgif

The readers of this forum know better than to have a clown like you tell them who a troll is. You've been exposed many times on here and people have called you out for the scum you are.

So don't worry about what others think. lol

Ignorance must be bliss for you huh? You really think I care what people think on the internet? Lol

Having said that, I'm not the first one to call you out for being scum and I'm sure I won't be the last...readers of this forum also know what scum you are so don't worry it's all good.

You're always seething and fuming old man. Get some testosterone pills. Always following me around getting all worked up can't be good for your blood pressure.

You really are a bad christian. But then most bible thumping scumbags are the worst kind of scum on this earth. It usually works out that way. Either pedophiles or just all around bad people/hypocrites. Not surprised at all.

It's just a worthless platitude that people use to substitute for real analysis. And it's very prevalent in mainstream sports media. I'm not saying it has 0% merit whatsoever, but people like you beat it into the ground as if it is the defining characteristic about these guys.

If his killer instinct was so superior to LeBron's, then his results in high leverage situations would be so much better. They just aren't.

Kobe's been blown off the court to end his season several times, he's lost as his team was favored several times, he's asked for trades, etc etc....

The only reason you have the opinion you do is because you very much like 1 player in question and very much dislike another.

I didn't discredit Kobe, I said this characteristic you define as his edge over LeBron isn't as prevalent as you think.

It's one major difference between Kobe and Lebron that is a fact. I already admitted Lebron is better and I never argued it but that wasn't enough for you. You had to start up on the killer instinct aspect of it.

Kobe has asked for trades and been frustrated but ultimately he stayed and won 5 rings with that team.

Isn't prevalent? I think it is. You're right though. I am very bias because I like one player over another but I already admitted that way back. I also admitted Lebron is better. If you want to argue about killer instinct fine but you've failed to convince me that Lebron's mental toughness and killer instinct (or lack thereof imo) compares with Kobe's.

Again, I said from the beginning that Lebron is better and that I'm bias when comparing Kobe and Lebron.

But ok let's go back to the original topic of this thread.

I'll give you that last paragraph and word on this. It was well written, articulate and concise. Made good points. I still maintain my stance but you've made good points and I'll let you have that and bow out. I'm a passionate sports fan and When I'm loyal to a player I admit they can do no wrong. That doesn't mean I concede what we were arguing about killer instinct but I'll bow out and let you have that last word.

It's all good.

I have to watch the Saints game. I'm worried about them. They are done 14. Wtf. Thought about Eagles+8 and I chickened out.

Again, well said, and to all of you have a good rest of the weekend. Nice show. At least you're talking about sports and don't have a hidden agenda like zit and clowns like justine chiming in with their desperate ''+1s'' Lol. So mentally weak some of these trolls that can't seem to keep the political differences inside the politics/garbage room. Again I'll urge you handful of right wingers to keep the garbage in the politics room and you're a decade or 2 older than me. Stop embarrassing yourselves and cluttering the offshore with your petty trolling. But if you bring it I will give it back tenfold lol.

Gotta go. Been nice talking sports. Congrats to your Pats. Peace.

Kobe played through serious injuries. He also played in LaLa land with a lot of pressure to perform night in and night out. The western conference was dominating at the time as well.

I think it is safe to say LeBron had more of a spotlight/pressure to perform on him than any athlete in NBA history. He was anointed to be the next gatekeeper of the league when he was like 16. That's probably why he's a little crazy now.

He's like a all grown up former child star that just happens to be really good at sports.
