When I was in Costa Rica I went into a poker room at a hotel. There was 5-6 tables. I think the buy in at most tables was a few hundred, but there were two tables in a back room behind glass. I assumed the buy in there was a bunch more?

Anyhow they had a buffet table for the players who busted out.

It was kinda funny, I was there early in the night, anjd all the guys at the buffet table were gringos.

It looked like a place were the Costia Rican locals fleeced the tourist.

I left.

EYE knew I was in over my head.

I had no idea... i took the course to get my license as an agent obviously not a broker, but haven't done it yet... I was discouraged when I discovered there were nearly 900 registered agents in my city of 100k and avg house just 200k...

I'm lucky to be in a niche market. I'm one of only a handful of brokers that deal solely in the REO market.

I will be sure to start a Chicago Poker Classic update thread. I'm playing a full card of events and jumping up in stakes at the cash tables.

just looked at our local mls.... The top 8% of agents did 55% of all transactions here in the last year.

So you play a 3 blind game....1/2 and 5 ? Or is the 5 played as a mandatory straddle ? In the few times i played 2/5 and higher (1/2 has taken over around here) if i was able to talk the table into a 2/5 & $1ante game it would get wild in a hurry....only 9 more dollars in the pot but the action would really go crazy...

Any Omaha played in ur room? They tell me our 4/8 limit omaha game is up to 4 nights a week now at the local casinos, i miss it badly but im busto for at least another month....and surprisingly nobody wants to back me....lol

It's a 1/2 with a mandatory straddle. The game plays like a really large 2/5....We only play nlhe in this room, because that's what the majority of players want. There is a Omaha game played at another room twice weekly. I enjoy Omaha myself, and try to play atleast weekly.

3300.00 between satellite's, added seats and high cards in the cash games they give away 100+ seats. The field is pretty soft.
