I'm really surprised that there was so much interest in this thread. It amazes me how many views it received. If there is interest there I would be happy to start a new thread at each circuit stop. I usually play a event of some sort every day for the 2 weeks per stop. This thread just kind of developed on the fly with no real structure. I'd be happy to give it some sort of structure. For instance hourly or bi-hourly updates. Then once a day I could post the interesting hands of the day. I'd leave this up to the mods if they rather I post here or the poker forum in hopes of trying to draw more posters into that area.

You may have posted this and I missed it, were do you live, state and Burb?
I work in both Chicago metro area and indianapolis metro. I have a house in Indiana and a apartment in Chicago. I sleep in neither more than 4-5 consecutive nights. This lifestyle is starting to wear on me. I'm currently training a guy to help relieve the travel. I'd love to settle down, really settle down in Indiana.

i am actually *not* surprised at the interest. basically you are doing something that interests a lot of people, and it's fun to kind of live viacariously through someone and hear their first hand stories (not just what they see on ESPN)

For example - look at that dude who started the Swingers thread. it interests people b/c it is about sex, and something that draws interest, mainly because hardly anyone has done it (even though it is incredibly exciting to some people)
that is what you are doing - something that involves poker/gambling, which is obviously in the wheelhouse for people on this site, but most people on this site wouldnt put up 10K for the wsop main event.

for example - i love poker, i have had soe nice scores online/live, but definitely do not have enough bankroll to go to the series and play a bunch of 1500/2500/5000/10000 tournies - so it is fun to read about someone who is doing it.

maybe i should have started a thread - was at casino in STL last weekend, played in their 2 daily $125 tournies with 50 people.
won the first won for 1900, guy convinced me to play the 2nd one, and won that for another 1900

felt pretty cool to take down 2 tournies in same day (not online where you can play 100 a day) - BRAG POST! (but still, not on the level of you and the other pros)

Congrats... That's amazingly strong to take down both. Great job.

1 of the few poker players i actually know, Corrie "Slim" Wuntsel is still in the main event. 52nd of the 68 remaining.
He was a dealer here at the local casino that closed their poker room when the bigger casino was built. He went on the tourny circuit and has done really well, i think winning 2 circuit event rings in the last year. He's a helluva great player and i wouldnt count him out as long as he has chips in front of him. You cant miss him if his table is televised, he is about 5"10 300lbs and has a duck dynasty beard.....Hence the reason he goes by "Slim"

"Slim" was at my starting table day 3. If I remember correctly we only played 2 hands together. One he won with AA and one that I won with AA.. He told me. "I'm staying out of your way unless I have AA, because one of us have them." Seemed like a pretty light hearted nice guy. I wasn't aware he was still in. He's definitely one that has my support. There are still 12-15 regular circuit grinders still in the main. The circuit grinders had a huge showing this wsop.. I'd say they won close to 50% of all tournaments. Goes to show you... Regular experience in grinding live MTT's is a massive advantage.

Now that I think more about it. "Slim" was at the final table of my largest live score to date in Atlantic city. We both came to the FT stacked. Between him and I we had over 60% of chips in play 9 handed. I took a huge pot off of him early where I flopped a set on a flush board.. He flopped but flush. I called a massive bet on the blank turn only to river a paired board. This time I lead for 70-80% pot bet. Hera Jed for nearly 10 minutes before some shortstacked asshole called clock. He finally decided to call off and was disgusted to see I called the turn. That hand have me over 50% of chips in play 9 handed. He was eventually finished off in 4-5th If my memory serves me right. Took the beat well, was very professional.

Friend of mine (Bruno Kawauti) started the day with about 8BB, first half hour today doubled up twice...must be nice to finally catch some cards and run hot on day 6 *LOL*
He finished ~110th last year, so making an even deeper run this year. Go Bruno!

@awmllc2000:
Should come down here and play the BSOP, I think you'd like the loose players down here ;-)

"If You Fold, I Win for Sure"
Sergio Castelluccio raised to 100,000 in late position, James Alexander called in the cutoff, and the button and both blinds released. The flop fell

"If you call, it scares me," the American told the Italian. "If you raise, I got you."
Castelluccio called.
The

"If you fold," Alexander said. "I win for sure."
This puzzled Castelluccio.
"I don't know what you mean by that," the Italian told him.
Castellucio tanked for a bit longer, then folded. Alexander triumphantly spiked

"Let's play poker boys!" he exclaimed.

Corrie Wunstel Eliminated in 65th Place ($102,102)
be91c3079c0.jpg

Yevgeniy Timoshenko opened for 100,000 after action folded to his button, and Corrie Wunstel moved all in for just over 1.3 million in the small blind. Timoshenko made the call after deliberating for about three minutes.
Timoshenko:
