Nice to see you fellas discussing the hand on a whole other level than I would expect here. There are a few posts here that completely impress me. Anyways, ran my stack from 4k to 21k after dinner. Then got it all in preflop against the only guy at the table that had me covered. This was such a large pot that the tournament director asked the dealer to stall for a minute before running it out. TD yelled at the pokernews reporter and said "we may have a new chip leader after this hand." I had KK he had AK...he improved on the turn and was reported as the chip leader at that point.... Try again tomorrow.

Sheezus, brutal man. That sucks. Get these all out before the main though I guess. GL

Anybody seen or heard anything from Mattster24 lately. I see his website is down and i cant find a mention of him anywhere in the WSOP entries. Always enjoyed pulling for him but he seems to have vanished from the poker scene.
He hasn't vanished, he plays all of the higher limit PLO ga mes around indianapolis, cincinatti, and Louisville. He may have taken a tournament break though. I haven't seen him at the series this year.

Its so funny how all you geniuses who "play" the game for nickels and dimes think you know something about high stakes poker.

The one player busts awm and gets a ship load of his chips by way overbetting and its a WRONG play. What better result can be accomplished. Its not like everyday you get quads aces vs kings and then to get all the other guys money?

Seems like a genius to me. Like AWM mentioned a lot of psychology and past history is part of the play and you guys looking in who watched a few episodes of wpt and wsop or played free bar room poker dont really know jack.

Stick to figuring out why you cant get laid or why you wife left you for someone else and maybe you will come out ahead.

ps. Im just giving you dudes a hard time cuz Im also a loser who like to sit on the internet and think I know everything while doing nothing.

pps. seriously, you losers should try to figure out your own issues instead of trying to figure out why everyone else is wrong and why you know better.

Seriously, dude? What the fuck crawled up your ass? This discussion about the hand has been unbelievably civil and with some depth on both sides. AND, everyone involved admitting that we're speaking on our own play and that the oppo is obviously better than us as he's in those tournaments and we are not.

Dickhead.

Damn dude, tough break. But you have such a god damn perfect and professional attitude about the whole thing, I know you won't bring this loss into your next tourney with you. BOL

Yeah seriously, read the thread and which poster sticks out to you as the only asshole in the entire thing? That was out of line but whatever, haters gonna hate.

I have been up all night playing cash. The games were absolutely banging last night. This being really the last weekend for all of the weekend warriors to make it out for the series, combined with the fact that it is 4th of july weekend has had a amazing effect on the cash tables. I ran cold for the first couple of hours before the rush came. Playing 10/25NL. I had 2900 when this series of hands went down in the span of 20-30 min.

Hand 1- First to act pick up AQ of hearts. I lead into the pot for 50, folds to middle position that raises to 175, button calls, I call. Flop is AX, 3H, 9H...I check, MP makes it 350, Button raises to 750. There is 1660 in the pot. I jam for 2725. MP folds, Button calls off having me covered. Turn is 8X, River is 6H. He rolls over pp 10's....Odd line for this fella.

couple of hands later- I now have 6350. I pick up 99 in late position. MP makes it 75 and gets 4 callers, I raise to 325 and get MP and one other to call. 1225 in pre. Flop comes 10D, 8x, 3D. it goes check, check to me. I lead for 475. MP Raises to 1450, folds to me. He has left behind only 1500, Its decision time, I have played with this guy in Chicago many times at the Shoe. This play coming from this fella is 70-80% of the time a flush draw. Problem is, I cant fold the turn here. I jam, he snaps off with the flush draw, XX and i take town (7135.00)

3-4 hands later I get a guy to commit himself all-in for 5200 preflop with AQ off against my KK. This hand holds. So in the span of 20-30 min a couple hours into my session I have ran 3k up to a little under 16K. I played for 4-5 more hours to cash out for $22,400. This is a great game when things are falling your way. I have got next to no sleep, but plan on taking another shot at the mini one drop again. If that doesnt pan out, it is back to the tables tonight. I cant afford to sleep when the games are this juicy. Unfortunatly there is only one more weekend of the WSOP, so i need to play as much as possible. I will keep you guys updated.

And the rush continues... It's very early, but I'm one of the larger, potentially largest stack in the room. Within the first level I have busted 2 players and crippled two others. Amazing how some of these guys are willing to go broke, with so many BB's. I ran AA into QQ all in within the first orbit and held. Then a orbit later a guy decided I was making a move when the third club hit the river and I held the nut flush. He decided to call off with a overpair. Then the gentleman next to me was on the wrong side of a cooler when I flopped set over set. Keep the rush going! I am currently sitting at just over 15k and avg is just over 4k.

I'm liable to make the TV cut today. They are shooting my table. One of the biggest names in poker just sat down across the table. I hope one day to make a name for myself, these "pros" get so much respect from the weekend warrior type. Guys give them way too much credit early in these tournaments. It amazes me to see some of the hands that get laid down to the "pro's."

GL to my buddy Seth that is out front with 31 players left in the 5k day 3. This kid is well deserving of a title and ill be absolutely surprised if he doesn't finish top 3-4. I've never seen such a soulreader. This kid seems to make all the right plays at all the right times. I've seen him make some of the thinnest calls routinely that blows my mind. Do not play at this kid, he will pick you off!

I have survived to day 2 with a better than average chip stack. I will keep the updates coming tomorrow. I am currently sitting at a 10/25 NL table. I lost a huge flip early in the session that now has me into the game for 6k. I currently have 8300. There is some great action here, hopefully I can find a spot.

And I was almost the bubble boy. We were hand for hand and it folded to the button. I'm in small blind with 8 BB's button jams for more than my stack. I have QQ I call off, off to the races against AK.. I held. We are in the money.
