Man pumping ridiculous amounts of CO2 in the air and that having an affect on temperature is settled science. Figuring out how that will affect the earth is not settled science and they are learning new information every year, which is the point of research. And they have found that the oceans have been keeping an enormous amount of the heat. They've known this for over decade now. Using a logical fallacy to discredit an entire world of research is typical of conservatism. It's like people who found someone who didn't get cancer after smoking cigarettes their whole life as evidence that cigarettes don't cause cancer. Logical fallacy central!

You do know that the slowing down of escaping heat by CO2 molecules is on logarithmic scale, right? So pumping additional CO2 into the atmosphere has a diminishing effect.

And I don't see a logical fallacy in my arguments unlike your argumentum ad populum, which is so common among the alarmists.

Well, I mean if you have a quote from some dude, I guess that settles it.

It's called an anecdote and it is intended to draw a laugh. BTW, that "dude" is on the forefront of climate science/climatological physics. He was until recently the Alfred Sloan professor emeritus at MIT.

That says absolutely nothing about CO2 having a diminishing effect. And I need peer reviewed research from you global warming deniers. Not .com articles form random nobodies.

Akphidelt the pedophile continuing to post in here huh?

Let the whole world know that Akphidelt is a pedophile.

a Kiddie diddler.

Explains so much about what kind of person you are. Knew it all along. Can't expect much out of Willie's supporters, lol.

Can't take your own medicine? Others can play your childish little game too.

Oh I'm loving this. Watching people crumble and exposing them for who they really are is a joy to me. Like I said, I don't expect much from Willie supporters. Lot of racists, racist supporters, and Cliven Bundy types. You fit the mold perfectly, which is why you are willing to go to these despicable lengths.

A little bit of research shows that Alaska is the pedophile capital of the US. Hmmmmmmm.

Rural Alaska steeped in sexual violence

By Rachel D'oro, Associated Press
ANCHORAGE — The state has long suffered the highest sexual assault rate in the nation, and the problem is worst in rural areas, according to a report released Tuesday.
The numbers are unacceptable, troopers said at a news conference Tuesday detailing the study.
"Each of us has a role in ending sexual violence in Alaska," said trooper Col. Audie Holloway. "We need to think into the future."
In nearly 1,000 cases studied over two years, the average age of victims was 16, while the average age of those accused was 29. In four out of five cases, the suspects were relatives, friends or acquaintances.
Overall, 89% of the victims were female. One out of three cases were reported more than a month after the abuse occurred, leaving evidence hard to collect.
The study, conducted by the University of Alaska Anchorage's Justice Center, looked at 989 sexual assault cases reported to state troopers in 2003 and 2004. Researchers did not look at cases reported in the same period to municipal police departments, including those in Anchorage or other urban centers that account for 80% of Alaska's 670,000 residents.
Overall, 46% of the cases were referred for prosecution. Of those 452 cases, about half resulted in convictions.
The study is believed to represent only a fraction of abuse actually committed in trooper jurisdiction. Still, Alaska has had the nation's highest per capita occurrence since 1995. According to statewide figures for 2003 and 2004 alone, there were 89 rapes per 100,000 people, almost three times the national average of 32 per 100,000, said Andre Rosay, the Justice Center's interim director.
"There are a lot of excellent programs here, so it could be reporting rates are higher here. We don't know, though," he said. "But even if there are higher reporting rates, our rates far surpass those in the lower 48."
Just less than half the cases studied occurred in the troopers' immense, sparsely populated western area known as the C Detachment. The largely native region contains a third of the state's land mass, stretching from Kotzebue in the north to the Aleutian Islands chain. With few communities connected by roads, about 50 troopers working in the region must fly to villages to respond to crimes beyond the scope of village safety officers.
Capt. Steve Arlow, commander of the detachment, said the numbers were not surprising. Sexual assaults account for the bulk of work done by troopers, he said.
"Our troopers are out there dealing with it every day," he said.
Michelle DeWitt, director of the Tundra Women's Coalition, said that sexual crimes are about power and that many in the region feel increasingly powerless as native cultures are undermined.
The coalition runs a regional emergency shelter in Bethel, a commercial hub for the western region.
Another huge problem, she said, arises when the accused is known to the victim. That dilemma is intensified for those living in tiny villages.
"When a victim knows who harmed them and they live in a small community where everyone is related, they know that if they report that they were harmed, then other community members will be impacted," DeWitt said. "Knowing that someone may be removed from the community makes it very difficult to talk about it."

The Earth and it's surroundings are big and very complex. Not very hard to cherry pick data to present an argument against global warming. But there is a reason why less than 1% of peer reviewed research provides evidence against global warming. Global warming denialists are pretty much relegated to the .com world because if they tried to pass their bullshit amongst real scientists it would be laughed at.

But, lot of dumb people in America that will believe whatever their political leaders tell them. This site is a perfect example.

Hey AK i don't think FZ really believes you are a pedophile.
He is just trying to make a point that he has just as much evidence that you are a pedophile as you have evidence that Willie is racist.

I think if you would quit calling willie a racist every other post FZ would lighten up on you.

Well, It's part that, but Willie can fight his own battles. I'm more concerned with him calling me various names: racist, racist-supporter, klan member.... etc

I really don't care. FZ is a grown up. If he wants to act like this, more power to him. Not surprised of his actions considering the fact he is a racist supporter.

The fact that hundreds of billions have been spent over 30 years looking for the human fingerprint on the .8 C warming over the last 120 years and they still can't make a strong case gives me confidence that the skeptic's side has won the science. The above paper (abstract only because the paper is paywalled) is the kind of real science that has been lacking as all the money flowed to those on the wild goose chase of human causes.

You're just cherry picking random shit. It's not even a real scientific argument which is why 99% of actual research points to global warming. Not even a discussion amongst intelligent people these days.

ha ha ... Al Gore proven completely wrong yet again so just moves the goal posts....good 'ol libby trick...."did i say no arctic ice by 2014? well, ahemm, make that 2020....yeah, yeah no arctic ice by 2020...let's go with that"

Saturday, 06 September 2014 20:00 Al Gore's Climate Calculations Prove Wrong — Again

Five years ago at a UN Conference on Climate Change, Al Gore predicted that, global warming having reached such an unbridled pitch, the North Pole might be completely ice-free during the summer of 2014. This climate change crusader had made the same claim when he accepted the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize. Was he right? Let's take a look.
The Danish Meteorological Institute's (DMI) Centre for Ocean and Ice closely monitors Arctic sea ice extent and publishes a monthly plot on its website. According to DMI, 2014 is the second summer in a row that the ice cap has expanded. Data from the U.S. National Snow & Ice Data Center (NSIDC) agrees, showing 2014's summer ice well within the average range for the years 1961-2010. In fact, NSIDC's website points out an ice extent decline rate of "slightly less than the average" for the month of August.
This year's sea ice surge is no trifle. The U.K.'s Daily Mail notes that NSIDC's numbers indicate a 43 percent increase of 1.71 million square kilometers of ice over the course of the last two summers. DMI's statistics are even more dramatic because of a different measuring system that agency uses. It reports a 63 percent rise — from 2.7 million to 4.4 million square kilometers — over the same time period.

So it looks like Al Gore was wrong, despite his Nobel Peace Prize. But we can forgive an honest mistake, can't we?
If only it were honest. Gore had based his assertion on what he called "fresh" research by this U.S. Naval Post-Graduate School professor, Dr. Wieslav Maslowski. "I don’t know when [the data] were released, but I just got them yesterday," Gore had told his UN audience, quoting a 75 percent likelihood. Later when The Times confronted the Nobel laureate, his office backpedaled, admitting the estimate was a "ballpark figure" from a conversation several years earlier between Gore and Maslowski. But the misquoted scientist told The Times, "It's unclear to me how this figure was arrived at."

That may explain why Gore didn't return calls to The Daily Mail for comment about the 2014 summer sea ice spread.
Unabashed and undaunted, the former U.S. vice president continues his campaign to save the planet. His Climate Reality Project website reads: "The majority of Americans believe man-man climate change is real. So why haven't we taken action to face this challenge?" This time he doesn't bother to specify where he got his "majority" statistic, but with his track record, would we trust his source?
To answer his question, however, we'll turn to a recent Gallup poll which shows that 65 percent of us do, in fact, believe global warming is happening or will in the future. The poll doesn't specify what we think of the "man-made" part of Gore's contention, but it does answer his question about why we haven't taken action. It's because most of us know global warming is not a threat. Only half of the 65 percent of believers think global warming will ever endanger our way of life.
But what about the polar bears' way of life? That's the big concern regarding sea ice extent because the ice is their hunting ground. Naysayers expect that less of it means they'll starve, and Al Gore adds to the worry by saying vast numbers of them will drown. Surely this summer's ice spread is good news for them. The bad news is that DMI and NSIDC declare Arctic ice continues in a steady overall decline since 1979. Does this mean the end is near for polar bears?
It should come as no surprise that the answer is "no," and Gore and his alarmist cronies are wrong again. Polar bears have "certainly been around through the last interglacial period," biologist and government advisor Mitchell Taylor told Canada's CBC News. "During that interglacial it was warmer than it is now: we had pine trees on Baffin Island, deciduous forests north of the Arctic Circle. Polar bears had to survive that or we wouldn't be seeing polar bears now."
Gore's disproven predictions add more notches to the ever-growing tally of climate alarmist prophecies that have been proven dead wrong. Alex Newman recently published a must-read comprehensive exposé of these "Embarrassing Predictions" in The New American. From catastrophic global cooling claims made in the 1960s and 1970s, to cataclysmic forecasts of global warming ever since — starvation, mass migration of "climate refugees," threats to national security, etc. — not one conjecture has come even close to reality.

Yet the "Great Global Warming Swindle" continues to form the basis of national and international climate policies, wasting billions of tax dollars and stifling economies. John McManus, president of The John Birch Society, sums up these policies as "costly and unnecessary solutions" to a problem that doesn't exist, which leads to the conclusion that climate alarmists such as Gore aren't the only ones who are wrong. The majority of Americans who detect no threat from global warming are obviously mistaken, too

_______________________________________________________________________________________________

anyway, back to the climate fraud discussion for Mr Consquences, the proud holder of extra points:

Former FBI Agent in Charge of Environmental Crimes says UN-funded ‘science’ a fraud on the American people

As a federal agent, I spent a career putting thieves, cheats, and con men in jail. Retired, now I can't keep quiet any more with what I see going on. I have to try and get my countrymen to open their eyes and ears to the cons around them.
In the following weeks I will be writing about what I think are the biggest frauds being perpetrated on the American people.
This week I will focus on the fraud of deceiving the public that increasing carbon dioxide by human sources is causing the planet immeasurable harm.
First, there is currently .045% CO2 in the atmosphere over the earth right now.
That this is the lowest carbon dioxide level since the beginning of time is the best guess of our scientists.
There are 200 active volcanoes in the world. Studies show that a “burp” from one of these volcanoes puts as much CO2 into the atmosphere as the entire population of the United States does in three years of “CO2 polluting.” Science doesn’t know if CO2 causes holes in the atmosphere or if holes in the atmosphere cause CO2 increases.
According to Dr. Art Robinson, who was instrumental in forming the EPA in 1971, and the first EPA director, and who is one of the world’s foremost recognized experts on environmental issues, there is no evidence that CO2 releases by human sources causes global warming.
Further, in 1998, 31,000 scientists signed Dr. Robinson’s petition to Congress urging Congress not to sign any world or international agreements to reduce CO2 or other greenhouse gas emissions because the fact is that there is not one single piece of scientific evidence supporting that release of CO2 or greenhouse gases by human sources causes global warming period!
But, of much more importance, what science does know is: 1.) CO2 is essential for the existence of human life and to decrease CO2 emissions would be detrimental to human health! (Bet you never heard that on NBC, ABC, or CBS and that’s probably because it is a scientific fact.), and 2.) IPCC studies on global warming are not science driven.
Dr. Robinson also believes that “there is no global warming” and he and Dr. Roy Spencer and Dr. Bernd Palmer, other well-known and respected scientists, say that the earth has cooled by .7 degrees Celsius in the past three years. The cooling may be the reason the global warming fanatics have been so quiet lately.
Dr. Robinson, who is responsible for the Big 8 Environmental laws like clean air and clean water, also now believes that the EPA, that he created and directed, should be eliminated! It is causing more damage to the economy of the United States than it is good for the environment! This is a belief shared by scientists, economists, and average citizens. EPA duties should be turned over to the states. It is an agency that is legislating by regulating, at the whim of the President, and is out of control.
By the way, over 9,000 of the 31,000 signers to Dr. Robinson’s petition were PhD experts on environmental issues! Of course, Al Gore knows more than they do! He should, because he invented the internet, according to him.

The UN funded the United National Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), financed all the global warming “studies” that Al Gore and others rely upon for their scientific data. The IPCC however only funds a “study” if the premise of the study group, waiting for the grant, is that “there is global warming.”

Let me say that again, the IPCC only finances a “study” if the study group agrees to assume there is global warming, as their confidential premise, before they begin their “study”! There has not been one study funded by the IPCC that has studied “if there is” global warming! Nor has the IPCC studied what effect human CO2 emissions may have on earth’s temperatures or what effect sun spots have on earth’s temperature!
These are the scientific studies Al Gore and the Gorites rely on, solely!

What they are is as phony as Gore and the environmentalists that support him!
But the worst part is what these “environmentalists” have done to the manufacturing base of this nation in the name of “carbon reduction.” Any idiot will tell you it has moved our manufacturing base to China along with, now get this, our food processing operations. China, of all places, has the worst environment concerns of all the manufacturing nations on earth, and they are now making your Krakus ham! [Editor’s Note: Research if you disagree]
The top scientists in the world believe that without CO2 we could not survive and there should not be any efforts to reduce CO2 emissions by manmade sources or anything else until we can find out what is the real scientific truth.

The IPCC studies on global warming used by Al Gore and many others are unscientific, funded by the UN IPCC and are a fraud.
