Yeah I Too Watched Skoog & Garmaker In The "Barn"

Whitey went on to play w/big George & the TRUE Lakers! 1952 I was sitting in a frozen shithole called Korea @ the time. Came home in early 53. Met the LOML and watched many a hoops gm. The greatest CBB I ever saw was in 55 vs Iowa & Murray Weir (sp), we were actually sitting in the rafters in that OLD bldg, and you could feel it rock that Sat. afternoon. Ah memories. Dick Garmaker was a great Col. player from a little town on "Da Range", Hibbing. Which also produced Kevin Mac, Bob Dylan, Vince Bugliosi (Helter Skelter), Bob Mondovi (wine), Rudy Perpich Gov., and a few others including yours truly. Quite a legacy for such a small berg. BOL in all you do.

I just wanted to respond to the comment on Northwestern getting stomped by Michigan State. Watch the game again & you will see stupid turnovers were what stopped Northwestern. They were even with Michigan State except in the turnover battle. If I recall correctly their turnovers led to the final margin of victory.

On paper the line stunk to high heaven but you can't compare these Minnesota teams to the ones of old. I have seen Purdue plenty this year & I think they have thrown in the towel. I don't know if I could put my cash on them.

Not Too F'ing Bad For This "Sorry Ass" Tm BTW How's

the mighty Illini doing? Getting their ass kicked I see. To hold Purdue w/o a TD @ Ross Ade, is not too shabby IMHO. If, big if they can get 2 more W's, they could be playing on New Yrs Day. No matter what happens the rest of the way, one hell of a coaching job by Brewster.:missingte

Who said anything about the Illini being good? They aren't.

After Getting Beat @ Home To Say That Is The Definition Of

Illinois is a lot better than Minnesota. That's the truth. And Illinois flat out isn't very good.

"sour Grapes" we saw what Illinois has today, ZIP. And NO Illini is not better than the GG, if we could get them in Mpls we'd kick their ass again, this time by 3 TD's. JC I hate a poor fucking loser. Have a nice day. After your continual ranting what ever respect I might have had is out the window. Let it go pal.:nohead:

The folks from the "range" had to work for a living.

Not surprising that so many successful people came from that part of Minnesota. My Grandfather immigrated from Italy in 1903 and came directly to Hibbing and worked in the mines. He had (5) kids (3 more after he arrived), one way tickets and [no] Master Card or Visa. I still have "shirt tail" relatives living there.

Thanks for sharing your expierances.

Poor call on this one Illini, i don't make games Rubberband plays on a whim, this was solid as hell, same as Alabama. No Excuse for Taking Purdue here, they are bad, and will be worse as the season goes on

Wtf are you talking about? Poor call? Painter got knocked out in the red zone on the first series. Nobody has any clue how this game would have played out. I was getting 2 points, and Purdue missed a 4th quarter chip shot that would have had them covering, minus their QB. They also fumbled in the 3rd quarter in the red zone. I think my bet would have been a good one, had Painter been able to play. I certainly would play it again, if I knew Minny was gonna be held to 17 points. Don't be so quick to pat yourself on the back, buddy. You got a win. Congrats.

Yeah, okay. That's why you laid chalk on Illinois -11 against Minny. Cuz Minny is the better team.

As far as today, Juice was terrible. He is just not that good, period. I've been saying that all year and last year as well. Congrats to your Gophers on a helluva turnaround, but I'm not being sour grapes. I don't think either team is close to a Top 25 team. Enjoy it while it lasts. You can respect me or not, I certainly don't give 2 shits either way. But I'm no homer, I just tell the truth. And I never once said Illinois is a good football team.

Minny by 3 TD's. What, they gonna hold our mediocre QB to 400 yards passing this time?

No They'll Shut His Ass Out And Knock Him OUT Too

You love riding a dead fucking horse don't you? Haven't seen the sched for 09 yet, but if that shit tm comes to GG land we'll take the whole sorry team to school. GG will be loaded w/upper classmen next yr. This discussion is pointless as you have zero amunition to use. Mn may or not be a "top 25", but name me one 7-1 tm you'd put in there. All I know is I'm happy to see the turnaround. BTW the heart of the tm is Mn. kids. Weber went to school right across the st. from where I live, Decker from St Cloud the list goes on.

Minny gave up 469 passing yards by a bad QB. You're a homer.

Gee, I guess Illinois was a lot better than Ohio St last year, since we beat them. We'll probably shut their sorry ass QB out and knock him out too, and win by 3 TD's.

This thread is some good reading! Good job on the PISSING CONTEST!!

Illini, IMO Minny is definitely top 25 worthy...especially after winning yesterday to improve to 7-1. 7-1 Big Ten teams get ranked. It's that simple. On another note, I agree w/ you regarding "Juice". Is there any chance he gets benched?

I'm A "Homer" Just Shows That You Nothing About Me Or My

betting philosophies. Every person here knows I'm objective when it comes to my $$. Unless some guy who's REALLY a "homer" comes on here and makes outlandish remarks. There is no bigger homer here than you. You keep coming up w/this foolish argument w/no basis. What are you about 19 yrs old? You sound like it, as you just keep repeating the same old mantra. Juice this Juice that, who gives a fuck about this guy we'll never hear from again. Tell me again how he threw for 900 yds and LOST!! Over & out you're a waste of time.:nono5:

I don't know anything about your betting philosophies and I don't care, either. You're the one saying stupid shit like "we'd beat Illinois by 3 TD's, cause we're the better team. We're 7-1, Illinois sucks." That's about as homer as you can get. And I'm very objective when talking about my teams. Just because I root for them doesn't make me a homer. Especially when I've said nothing about Illinois being good all damn year. Many people said Illinois was solid after the Mizzou game. They've been saying Juice was good. I've been telling them they were wrong. So no, I'm not a homer. Minny won yesterday because Painter got knocked out. Plain and simple. They won against Illinois but were dominated and got gift turnovers. The one team they played, they got blown out.
