Wouldn’t this not work with legal books because eventually you have to get a 1099 or W2 and they have much stronger KYC standards?
You only get a 1099 if you win a 300-1 or higher longshot. It’s just on you to report the income.

What we really need is a betting exchange like Matchbook and Mansion. Those places were awesome and I’ve heard rumblings online that exchanges are coming to the legal market.

Varies by state

A nany state like Illinois doesn't issue a W2 or 1099 if you win over $600 on the app?

For federal taxes, it doesn't matter what state you play in..I thought the books are required to send you tax info. by Jan 31st if you met certain limits--No??

I guess that the federal government assumes everyone loses, because the only time you get a tax form for sports is if you hit a 300-1 parlay. For casino slot jsckpots I think if you hit for $1200 you get a 1099. For table games you can win a million and nothing is reported, but of course you are legally obligated to pay taxes on your net winnings each year.

Hadn't previously noticed the time line on this...

They gave you a host after a few days? Understandable at those numbers.

My question---did you actually sign up for a players card or they pressured you into it to take the bet?

I am guessing your unit bet is in the 15-25k range for that win in that amount of time. Why sign up for a players card?

Don't take offense---but seems like such newbie mistakes for someone so seasoned. Player card and shown the door. Just seems like you should have been expecting this.

Just my thoughts and opinion. :)

Now your information and picture will be sent to other books not to take your action. That sucks.

More I think of this more I am even surprised they will accept $300 bets from you---normally its "we won't take ur action" or something like $15.

Just strange.

The $10-$15 limits is something like a badge of honor of the casino(i believe)

So if people come back and make a stink about being banned casino can just reply "we never banned you, you can place a bet on any of our lines you like---we just limited your betting max."

Its beyond stupid but some casinos love to be able to say this as their come back to a banning.

5k a game. I just signed up, and it automatically linked to my MGM players card. A host contacted me right away after 36 hours once she noticed I was betting 2k a game. I asked if she could up my limits to 5 “like everywhere else” lol and she got it done. Three weeks later I could only bet $300 and then a week later it was down to $11.

My buddy is a casino consultant and said that the regulated books are not allowed to share any information on players.

you living in Vegas Ilini ?
No, I actually hate Las Vegas. Every time I go there I want to leave and every time I go to Biloxi I want to stay. Eventually I’ll probably move down there. Great people, great culture where everyone says hello. Gambling town, but not a dark place like Vegas.

Is Kermit still alive? Tell him I said hello. Loved hanging with that guy when I did live out there briefly.
My visits to Vegas are more frequent , but in and out quickly...Just take care of business , then outta there.
I talk and see Kermit all the time. He's doing well. He's up in Washington.. nice spread he has up there. I will give him the message.
