Exactly my point. I know the Open is a tough tournament to win, but does anybody think that Tiger has suddenly lost his swing based on one bad week? Because of Memorial, I'm sure he's going to lose a point or two on the odds.I'll give him credit for not walking off the course like he has in the past.. man he doesn't look like a guy that should be favorite in the Open..

RedEye...The only thing I can see with Tiger's game that probably needs some tightening is his wedge play. He's got two more weeks to work on that part of his game.. Other than that he's been pretty flawless and getting better, up until this week. Merion isn't a whole lot different than the TPC. Tiger won't need to pull out his driver on many of the holes there. The big unknown is how well he will play on this course since they haven't had a major there in 30 years. Other than Matt Kutcher, I don't see anybody out there who is playing as well or better as Tiger. Adam Scott is a threat. But his head is probably still in the clouds over his Masters win. McIlroy looks like a mess right now. This Chappell kid who finished second today looks like a longshot that might be worth putting a little money on. He's pretty hot right now and has finished in the top 10 in the last two US Opens.Even with this latest Tiger resurgance, I haven't bought in that his game is major win ready.. He might be ranked #1, but that doesn't guarentee major wins.. Mentally I don't think he is where he was.. I know he still doesn't trust the driver and you need it to win a Open.. I still believe his putter is not back to major form..just a hater givign his opinion....

Red Eye...I will take Tiger and you can have any 3 golfers you want to win the Open....just let me know the amount....
I wonder what Tiger has to do to win your approval? I mean he is crushing the 2013 season...

He won't need his driver at Merion...he can just hit 3 and 5 woods off the tee like he did in The Players..Merion is not a long course, and I'm betting the rough will be just brutal..I'm not a Tiger fan by any stretch, but to win at Merion, he will have to keep it in the fairway and putt lights out
VD, every golfer out there has flaws...No doubt Tiger has played the best so far this season, but he still has flaws..They tend to get exposed on the tougher courses..
You are correct that every golfer out there has flaws, including Tiger. But also, those flaws tend to be exposed for all those golfers on the tougher courses, not just Tiger. It's a proven fact over his career that Tiger has been very good at the toughest courses on tour. His wins this year at Torrey Pines and Bay Hill, 2 of the toughest on tour, are proof he plays better than most on the tougher courses.
I understand you are trying to be as negative towards Tiger as possible, but this one doesn't really do it...
tougher courses tend to be majors and we are still waiting for a win on one of them.. 5 years and counting...I don't buy into Torrey Pines and Bay Hill as two of the toughest courses..you might, I don't
Sawgrass was a tough course this year, he won. It's a short course also, just like Merion is. Bet against him, Viejo gave you your pick of 143 golfers to choose against Tiger. Should be easy for you. Who's it gonna be?
yea was surprised his game held up at Sawgrass, props to him for that.. VD's offer is a good one.. the only problem is, I can't pick 3 guys that I really can count on right now, with the exception of Scott..The winner will most likely be someone that hasn't won a major or someone we are not counting on.. But it won't be Tiger

I was suprised with him at Sawgrass also to be honest. If his game at Merion resembles his game at Sawgrass, he will win or have a chance to win. That's about as good as I can remember Tiger playing in a long ass time that week. Hopefully he gears it up in the next two weeks. Tiger was def not concerned about his game this week. He said he was fooled on the speed of the greens all week and missed in the wrong spots. Jack basically said you might as well throw Tiger's performance out this week. Whether it be Tigers new Nike contract, maybe he had been on vacation, who knows what was up with him but I doubt that Tiger shows up at Merio
if I had to pick 3 I'd pick at Merion vs Tiger and I know very little about the course right now, they'd be Stricker, Kuchar, Furyk
