Woods was burned early on by the Media and he learned his lesson ...

face facts ... I remember the ol saying that "golf is a white mans sport" many times when I was a kid and Woods had many incidents where he was looked upon in a negative lite for the color of his skin when he was growing up

Tiger Woods

Damn , i thought i walked into the Tiger Woods Roast. Everyone talks like Paul Azinger. He Can do no wrong. He is a great Golfer and probably will break all records , but i am not ready to canonize him for sainthood yet. Spend a lot oftimes at various tournaments and he does handle himself well , but i have always seen moments of him having people wait on himhand and foot . I belong to a club, that his teacher also belongs to. From time to time but at least three times a year he flies in with his entourage and the membership is told in so many ways to stay at least 100 yards away. As if i could care less about an autograph, and for the money i pay to belong there, i don!t think he should have the run of the club. And i didn!t think Ed Bradley did a great interview. He was clearly biased , and i got tired of him slapping hands with Tiger evertime they agreed on something. it was not my favorite 60 minutes.

Whats hilarious is everyone thinking Tiger is African-American.

From what I understand, his father was combination African-American and Native-American

His mother is 100% Thai.

Tiger is genetically mostly Asian.

it was an awful interview. 60 minutes claiming " see tiger woods like never before"

show should be called 2 minutes . cause it couldnt have taken any more than that to come up with those questions.

oh , we did learn something though .

tiger's boat cost a lot .

tiger's new house costs A LOT ..

no shit...

thanks ed for those hard hitting questions.. can see why you make several million a year.

Of course he is a nice guy - he is about as rich as it gets and got it by playing golf for a living. I'd probably be a pretty nice guy too

I've never seen it but I've heard that he can be a real prima donna when the cameras are off; very interesting that Bradley never asked him about why he thinks that the PGA schedules too many tournaments. I wouldn't mind "only" being able to take a month and a half off for the entire year. If I were conducting the interview I would've asked him if he thinks he would have done as well as Nicklaus and Palmer did in the 60's if he had been forced to play every tournament just to make a good living instead of being able to cherry-pick like today.

I hear folks on this board mocking Tiger Woods as a "Drama Queen"

"Drama Queen" comments are from the Uneducated pack on this site who most likely are drunks who make 30k per year and still look at Tiger with a racial viewpt

Even though I make only 30K a year, and have a few beers from time to time, I think Tiger is great for the sport and a great person. Been a fan for a long time now. Great family guy.

I'm a big Tiger fan, but I agree that Ed Bradley took a vacation...he could have asked way way way tougher questions.

Well, reality is he is the Most famous athlete in the world today

Hate to disappointed YET again. World != North America and 2-3 Western Europeans countries. There are about 760 footballers more famous than any "pro sport" player you can think of.

Yeah right and those 760 footballers can't even come close to Tiger's earnings
together! And maybe out of those 760, 10 would be recognized in a crowded restaurant.

Your wrong. Woods is the most famous sports star in the world. Ali used to be in his prime. Jordan and Gretzky were near there. Woods is now. All time famous worldwide athlete is Ali.

Nicklaus vs Tiger is an interesting "greatest" debate that continues to grow ...

Nicklaus was the ultimate family man and the greatest loser in any sport I can recall for he was always the first to shake the hand of the man who beat him

An interesting stat: Nicklaus in Majors --- He finished second 19 more times, and third nine times. In all, Nicklaus posted 48 Top 3 finishes, 56 Top 5 finishes and 73 Top 10 finishes

Nicklaus played in this era and he would be avg 330 off the tee ... hell, the guy was bombing it back with a persimmon driver and with balls that went nowhere what the balls do today .... Length between the two would be relative ... Nicklaus hit his long irons better and Tiger has a superior short game and both are incredible pressure putters but would give Tiger the edge in his ability to read greens .. Plus, Nicklaus would most likely be into working out that defines this era vs the cigarettes and beer that were the workout regime for golfers 30-40 yrs ago
