You don't have to take any tests of any kind. You don't have to take a sobriety test, and you don't have to take a breath or blood test either. And if they arrest you and charge you with DUI, you still don't have to take a test at the police station. You have to right to not incriminate yourself. They can forcibly draw your blood after an arrest if they have a warrant, but they don't typically get a judge to issue a warrant unless you've been involved in a crash with injuries.Illini: "If you get pulled over and have been drinking, there is absolutely no way that you can get a DUI if you know your rights."
One can refuse the field sobriety test, but one is required by law
to take a blood test or breath test at the police station.
So, if one is indeed drunk, there are ways to lessen your chances of
getting a DUI/DWI, but to say "absolutely no way you can get a DUI"
IMHO is stretching things a bit.

In my town a few months ago, a police officer was clocked doing 85 in a 45 at 2am on a Friday night. He simply refused all testing and did not answer any questions. He was arrested and got an automatic driver's license suspension for the test refusals. But the charges were dropped, because he didn't provide them with any evidence. He did not lose his job. He's currently on desk duty, driving his own vehicle with a breathalyzer device. As soon as his suspension is up, he'll be back on the streets arrested people for DUI and forcing them to do what he would not.
Now I don't condone drunk driving. I'm just saying that if you ever find yourself in
that situation, do not cooperate. Only suckers cooperate, because if you do, it will be a helluva lot worse for you. The cops that are questioning you certainly know their rights and would not allow themselves to be bullied, if the shoe were on the other foot.
uhhhhhhhhh....pretty dumb statement considering depending on what state you live in if you refuse if you refuse a test you automatically lose your license for 12 months.

barman, agreed. but...
"We're told authorities believe they can show probable cause a crime was committed, a necessary step in obtaining a warrant"
they are basing this on elins story mixup about a golf cart. but tmz has now showed a pic with a golf cart at the scene. so very possible she wasnt lying.
Imo Tiger is the most widely known athlete in the world. Tiger and his wife don't have to talk to the police and will not, even if charged. His lawyer will advise both to keep quiet and not say anything.
Let's not forget that Tiger and his wife have the right not to testify against each other as well.
I believe this case will amount to nothing. The cops have nothing and it doesn't appear they can prove anything.
