I can already see the headlines from Faux News and PMSNBC on Tiger coming up this week:

"Wife Elin imposes one-shot penalty on Tiger"

"Tiger in the Rough"

"Tiger needs a Sand Wedge"

"Tiger's errant drive hits tree"

BILLHILL is Full O' Questions: I have a few questions?

Why is Tiger stonewalling the cops until at least today for police interviews?

Bar: Likely because unless they (police) choose to place him under arrest, Woods is under no particular obligation to meet with them. And in any case, he would not be required to speak to them.

BH: Could it be Tiger and Elin are buying time to get a story straight?

Bar: Pretty much, yeah. Because at the end of the day, other than being fiscally responsible for the damaged fire hydrant, none of the events (known so far) are any business of police.

===
BH: If this isn't a domestic issue, then why isn't Tiger suing those who are reporting he is having an affair (s) the way Tiger sued the Dubliner for those false nude pictures of his wife?

Bar: As an incredibly public figure, Woods is extremely unlikely to prevail in such a suit because he would have to not only prove a negative (I have not committed adultery), but he would have to prove the people making the accusations did so with malicious and fraudulent intent.

Augusta National should ban him for two years.....minimum.

I'm sure they are having around the clock meetings at the club as we type.

For 3rd time, Woods cancels meeting with police

By FRED GOODALL, AP Sports Writer 21 minutes ago

WINDERMERE, Fla. (AP)—Tiger Woods says the car crash that sent him to the hospital is his fault and has become embarrassing to him and his family, and for the third straight day canceled a meeting with state troopers.

Sgt. Kim Montes of the Florida Highway Patrol said Woods’ lawyer did not reschedule the meeting.

Tiger Woods was injured early Friday, Nov. 27, 2009 when he lost control of his SUV outside his Florida mansion.

In a statement posted Sunday on his Web site about an hour before he was meet with troopers, Woods says his wife, Elin, acted “courageously” when she saw that he was hurt. He says any other assertion is “absolutely false.”

Woods says he understands there is curiosity about the accident. He says the “malicious” rumors circulating about him and his family are irresponsible.

The world’s No. 1 golfer says he has cuts and bruising and is “pretty sore.”

Anyboby would be sore after getting beat with a golf club.:hammerit

They get paid the same, regardless.

Having citizens avoid direct encounters and interviews is an acceptable and expected part of any police officer's job.

I hate to say this but based on Tiger and Elin's actions to not co-operate with law enforcement by continuing to cancel planned meetings, it definitely appears they are hiding something. If they weren't, there is no reason not to complete the meeting, period.

One of the greatest freedoms we enjoy as Americans is the right to privacy in most all aspects of our lives.

Woods is simply doing what any sensible American would do in this situtation and that is to respectfully avoid any unneeded interaction with law enforcement agencies.

Oh there's certainly a reason to not meet with law enforcement.

And that reason is simply that there is no reason "to" meet with law enforcement.

There is absolutely nothing to be gained by Woods in wasting his personal time so as to satisfy the curiousity of outsiders who want to know all the details of his personal, private actions on that fateful morning.

This is not a private matter, police are involved.

I got a question for Bar.
Why do you feel the need to carry Tiger's water?

Tiger earlier admits the accident was his fault.

Thanks Captain Obvious, we never could have came to that conclusion ourselves.

Now this is funny...on TMZ

During the phone conversation on Friday, Tiger told his friend, "I have to run to Zales to get a 'Kobe Special.'" The person on the other end of the phone asked Tiger what a "Kobe Special" was. The reply -- "A house on a finger."

During the conversation, Tiger said his wife had "gone ghetto" on him.

But I do have to ask, what kind of friend, who hears this kind of personal stuff, leaks it to someone and then gets out to the media??

Excuse me Barman, but there is a police investigation underway into the cause of the accident. Woods is being given preferential treatment IMHO. If the police were investigating an accident of most citizens, they would be asked to answer questions either on the spot or at the police station. This is not a private matter but a public matter due to the investigation of the accident. What comes out, comes out, but the investigation still must be done.
