RULE #3 - Watch 5Dimes

All books use .10 lines, except for Matchbook which is an exchange. However, in an exchange, you simply can't put down whatever bet you want. It has to be matched to be accepted.

There is one book (excluding Pinnacle's .08 lines) that feature lines less than .10 where your bet is instantly accepted. That's 5dimes, and that's only overnight.

If you're a professional bettor looking for the cheapest lines where you can put a large amount on one side and allow it to be accepted, you would go to 5Dimes, and you would bet overnight.

5Dimes changes overnight lines back to .10 around 9:00am EST. They frequently move the line in favor of one team as money has come in on this team overnight. Bet on that team.

at the 7:42AM mark you see they drop that dog line 5 cents, yet only adjust the fav line 2 cents, hence the sharper $ on the dog and 5dimes reflected that- correct?

I believe the NYY play was wrong, it went 2 to TB and 1 to nyy overnight. But it never had a 5 dime line either it was at 7 for some reason. If you go back to p. 7 I posted the best moves. If you would have played those you would have gone 4-1 pending philly who may lose it right now(2 outs bases loaded lad). But anyway from that list I would not have played the Bal move since it got canceled out by rule 1 and 2. So potentially 4-0 with philly pending.

I can see where hoosier is getting frustrated, he's explained it a lot and its all there if you read it. 1968, for rule 3 you look at the open 5 dime line at 5 dimes. Than in the morning the line shifts back, re-opens to 10 dimes. So you compare the open 5 dime line to the re-open 10 dime line, if there's a significant move or change to one of the teams you could use that towards deciding if you have a play.
