And yes, many businesses would threaten to stop using Microsoft products if he was not voted out and the board would vote him out quicker than Donald Sterling, lol.

Since 92% of the world's PC's use the MS Windows platform, any 'threat' would be silly.

What are you going to uninstall to, Linux?

lol

All I'm saying is it would not matter to me if sterling said every white guy in Louisiana who is under forty years old who likes the New Orleans saints are retarded and should be shot would not phase me one bit.

Although I would think of him as an idiot I would not call for him to sell the team.

thicker skin, it's what our victim-hood society needs

instead, everyone gets their feelings hurt and the fucking pansies feel weally weally bwad for twem (I probably just enraged some weak ass minded pussy with this post)

If you are wondering why it moves the needle when a rich, powerful white person makes disgusting and racist comments about blacks, you might wanna readup on american history a little. I'm not overly PC or anything but it is pretty easy to understand why there would be outrage.

No multi-billion dollar business wants to be associated with comments like that, nevermind a league that has a large black following as well as mostly black players.

If I owned another team I'd want his ass out ASAP too, his comments could start Fing with my money if they weren't properly addressed.

I believe in taking a stand where a stand is needed. But LeBron (or his advisors) didn't think this thing through. Doesn't he realize that the NBA and the owners want Sterling gone as much as the players do? It's all a legal battle now. And that could/will take time. Possibly enough to make half the NBA players broke. Kobe will end up starting a loan service to NBA players like he did during the lockout. Not a very well thought out plan...

Sterling is one of the few people who can turn an apology into a complete PR disaster.

I was laughing so hard listening to the clips from the Cooper interview.

It wasn't a plan man, it was an offhand comment. Nobody is going to boycott. Don't believe every headline you read....

let's remind ourselves that this was a private conversation recorded by some gold digging whore. He never made a press conference and said that stuff to everyone. Not making excuses but just stating fact is all. Can you imagine if someone recorded your thoughts or conversations and released them to the public? How many here could escape untarnished?

Having said that, its a free country still so I say let lebron and who ever else sit out for as long as they feel the need to. It would be interesting to see how many hours (not days) it would take for players to start playing and honoring their contracts.

It's funny how he tells Lebron it's best to STFU but not Sterling, lol.

Yup. Everybody needs thicker skin according to him. Unless the words come from a liberal....only then do words matter to him. When obama says something about race....it's world changing and we are all deeply affected by it......but if it's some white billionaire....well then shut up and take it. That is the mentality of willie and many on the right.

Amazing how much stupid shit he says.

If you had bothered to read through this thread, you would have seen that I said this is all bullshit. But it still doesn't take away from the fact that LeBron said it.

What does that even mean? Nobody boycotted, nobody is even protesting, nobody is rioting. Nothing is happening because everyone is pretty much in agreement that Sterling needs to be voted out, forced to sell team, etc.

It seems like you and others want to think people are overreacting, when there really are is nothing showing overreaction.

It is weird people are saying "OMG PEOPLE ARE BLOWING THIS ISSUE UP" when nothing of the sort is even happening. Like I said, Cooper interviewed Sterling and it barely made any news. And the interview was Whitney Houston level bizarre too....

He just doesn't know when to shut up. Hasn't recovered since the Civil Rights days, lol. Blacks who make money should just be happy and not complain. But wealthy white owners should be free to say whatever they want, lol.

My feeling is it was repulsive what sterling said.
But I have the fundamental belief that comments made in the privacy of someone's house is never a reason to force someone to sell an nba team.

Mark Cuban agrees with me and so does many other owners who voted against there own beliefs due to pressure from the outside.

Mark Cuban agrees it's a slippery slope, I think all the owners realize that. But they all also realize that in this case, it has to be done. Even Mark Cuban is smart enough not to fuck around with this.
