Meyer is scared of the Boy Blunder? LMFAO! To quote John McEnroe, YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS!

The easiest money all year next year will be UF minus whatever against UT. Meyer might get hauled off to jail after that beat down.

Hey Coach, never got to congratulate you. But then again I never got the chance to fuck Anna Nicole Smith and that's a lot harder for me to live with. Next year you're gonna get your asses kicked. But I really hope that you and me are both rich by then.

Enjoy it while it lasts. :103631605

Chris Paradise = Homer of the year.

Urban Meyer scared of Lane Kiffin?!?!?!? WOWWWWWW

Lets see he has won 2 of the last 3 national championships and he is scared of a coach who has proven NOTHING except he can surround himself with good assistant coaches.

Nu'keese Richardson probably saw the writing on the wall and knew he would be second fiddle to Andre Debose his entire career so he jumped ship because he is scared of competition.

When the vols come to the Swamp this year I will take UF at -17.

Nah, Sherlock ain't no Florida home boy. Now where did he just say the Vols will "come" this year? Something about a swamp? The pot just called the kettle black.

Meyer scared? Maybe that would be a wise thing to be just a little scared. The new kid on the block has his eyes on his AC's and best recruiters and everything else they've got. If Meyer's not scared, he'd better watch his back anyway.

Personally I think Kiffin is some kind of genius. He's taken a program that's been on a downward spiral and suffered from low morale, turned that around and gotten everyone unified and together behind him. He leads by example, taking on the rest of the SEC teams coach by coach, program by program and gotten under everyrone's skin. He's made a nuisance of himself and let everyone know about it, even to the point of Saban ratting him out to the SEC front office asking that them to kindly slap his hand for saying pooh pooh things. Yeah baby! It must be nice to be a Vol fan lately.

That was the first thing he needed to do and he brilliantly pulled it off in his first 2 weeks on the job. He knows EXACTLY what he's doing. I don't think any of you guys realize that because you are too wrapped up in your own homerism to see it.

Kiffin showed he has a lot to learn, especially about recruiting rules. However, what he did do and what he did demonstrate to his players and his potential players, is that he will not back down, that he is not intimidated and will not cower down to the current flavors of the month like Florida. He screwed up, he let his emotions get the best of him, and he apologized. Did he piss off Urban Meyer? I think the message is that Kiffin didn't care if it pissed off Meyer or not. Right or wrong he sent a message. He told his players we're not backing down and he told Meyer, and the current SEC coaching establishment that he was not backing down. When you are picking up the pieces of a depleted program you have to do something, even if it is wrong. Is what he did wrong? Yes in the end it was wrong. He apologized and normally life would just go on. Not so fast, not in the SEC. Meyer is royalty in the SEC and especially in Florida. So now the word is that Florida will take it out on Tenn on the field. Maybe and maybe not. At the end of the day lessons were learned and messages were sent. The message Tiffin sent to the Tenn fans and players is that they are not going to play second fiddle. I guess it is only appropriate that the SEC would play host to the newest version of the Hatfields and McCoys. I guess what Tiffin is saying is so be it. And even if Florida does take it out on them on the field this year there is always next year, and the years after that. What goes around comes around and although Florda is on the top of the heap right now, it is still a heap none the less.

the best part is when Spurrier said a while back Kiffin hadnt passed his exam , Kiffin responded with "i bet i scored higher than stevie" instead of reporting it to the SEC office like Meyer did in this case.

theres a lot of scared coaches in the SEC right now and Meyer comes out of all this looking like a woman - i love it!

I've already made UF my biggest bet ever come next september when Tenn comes to G-ville. This game won't be close and Meyer will be throwing deep up by 40 with 30 seconds left. Kiffin should take a page from all the other victims who talk shit on him or Tebow for that matter.

Also, Kiffin is the one who looks like the classless piece of trash I always thought he was. Don't worry Chrissy, September will be here soon enough.

I've already dubbed this as my biggest play ever. I pounded UF with two fists over UGA bc I knew that was free money. This is no different. $*)

Lane Kiffin cant coach. Dewayne Walker made him look stupid. Norm Chow knows Kiffin sucks, and its no secret he cant coach in Trojan land. He was hired as a Trojan as a favor for his dad from Pete Carroll. Tenn is getting no bargain here whatsoever. They will be even bigger underachievers than when that fat guy was coaching them.

WOW! This is first time I have ever agreed with you!

sounds a lot like how Stevie Spurrier approached the world when he first came to the SEC with Florida in 1990 if anyone else is old enough to remember that

i think he had a pretty good run

notice Kiffin, Harbaugh, Spurrier were all QB's in thier playing days - you gotta have a lil swagger , arrogance, balls to motivate college kids.

and??

since when has Meyer not throw deep with 30 secs left? if you think he dont TRY to run up the score every game you are not watching the games

i think its hilarious that one day after NSD all the SEC is focused on Lane Kiffin who really hasnt even got started yet

It's more confusion than anything. The little boy hasn't proven anything, yet he is getting on EVERYONE's bad side. He has many humbling Saturday's awaiting next year and the Orange faithful will be calling for his head.

man, i hope so.

id be elated to sign brown, satisfied to at least sign oku.

creer can do the job though.

We'll sign Brown. He'll play a decent amount and I think Poole will be better than Creer.

Heaps will be on campus at the same time as Brown.

Tennessee has pulled a couple of surprises over the last few days with Nu’Keese Richardson and Janzen Jackson, and according to Kiffin a couple more could be on the horizon. One of those surprises could be five-star running back Bryce Brown. Brown, the number one player in the country for the class of 2009 told VSPN Radio, a UT fan-hosted internet radio station, that he is going to officially visit Tennessee. Brown has been committed to Miami, where his brother Authur plays, for a while, but decided not to sign with anyone on signing day because he wants to take two more official visits. Brown said that he will most likely visit Tennessee on the weekend of February 13th, and will probably take a visit to Southern Cal sometime after that.
Brown may be wearing orange again soon.

Brown may be wearing orange again soon.

Brown was recently ranked by Rivals.com as the best running back to come out of high school in the last five years, and would be an absolutely huge addition to this team with his dynamic running abilities. The 6′0, 215 pounder has Reggie Bush-like moves, and can also run between the tackles. He is the complete package, and he really likes Tennessee.

Coach Kiffin and staff first contacted Bryce after the All-American game and had an in-home visit with him later on. Brown had this to say about the visit,” I really liked Coach Kiffin, and even though my mom is fed up with the recruiting process she did too, and she really liked the things he had to say”…”The one thing that stood out about Tennessee’s staff was just how passionate they are, Coach Chaney came down here a couple of weeks ago and we went over X’s and O’s for hours as he showed me how I would fit in their system…I feel like Tennessee’s system will allow me to use my versatility, involve me in the passing game, and use me like Kiffin used Reggie Bush at USC. I really think that role fits me”….”Its safe to say I’m going to take a visit there, (Coach Kiffin) said I could come anytime I wanted to, but it will probably be next weekend (Feb. 13th).”

To even get an official visit from the best player in this class is a testament to what Kiffin is doing on Rocky Top, and the way Brown talks it sounds like he is seriously considering playing for the Vols. The depth chart at Tennessee is probably one of the main reasons Brown is considering the Vols. Kiffin has only signed one running back so far this class and only signed one last year as well. Although that will certainly help Tennessee, I would probably say Miami still has the best chance of signing Brown, followed by Oregon, but having the whole staff recruit him on an official visit could change things.

Landing Bryce Brown would be a huge statement by Lane Kiffin to the rest of the SEC, but even if we don’t its safe to say we’re going to be a force recruiting again.

Kiffin is a punk, and has a lot to learn in the SEC.

Of the many idiotic things he has done so, this one takes the cake...He is completely burning bridges at one of the best high schools in Florida for Division I recruits.

Kiffin pretended to be Nu’Keese while texting

By Jason Lieser | Thursday, February 5, 2009, 06:09 PM

It’s funny that Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin brought up the issue of cell phone use. It seems ironic considering he did something strange — not a violation, but definitely odd — with Nu’Keese Richardson’s phone while Richardson was in Knoxville, Tenn., last weekend.

Kiffin and Richardson sat next to each other Saturday at Tennessee’s Thompson-Boling Arena for the Volunteers’ basketball game against Florida. When Pahokee coach Blaze Thompson texted Richardson to inquire about the trip, Kiffin was looking over Richardson’s shoulder to monitor the phone — no doubt spooked by Florida coach Urban Meyer’s earlier phone calls.

What he did next might be the strangest element of Richardson’s recruitment. Kiffin asked for the phone and began texting Thompson, pretending he was Richardson.

Thompson had sent a message to Richardson asking if he was enjoying the basketball game and his visit. He got the following response from Richardson’s phone, as he recalled it: “Yes. I love it. My decision is made.”

But Kiffin was the one punching keys.

Richardson confirmed the incident Thursday, though he said the whole thing was a “joke.” Thompson clearly did not find it humorous. He also did not find it funny that Kiffin’s staff had circumvented him at several key points in Richardson’s recruitment.

In any case, what is a college coach doing with a recruit’s phone?

“I don’t know,” Thompson said, shaking his head.

I don’t know, either. I do know, though, that there would have been far fewer questions about cell phones if Kiffin hadn’t brought up the topic. Earlier today he accused Meyer of cheating by calling Richardson during his visit. The SEC pointed out that it was not a recruiting violation and admonished Kiffin for his lack of knowledge on the rules.
