A rock and a hard place? He has a #1 seed team. His team should be in the Final 4.
Not really any different from the other coaches of #1 seeded teams. What puts him between a rock and a hard place? The color of his skin?

Right? This is what you get when you take over a high profile program like Michigan and you are loaded with high talent recruits. It's called increased expectations. If you don't want 'em go coach at Eastern Michigan.

I think he has to reach the regional finals anything short he and Michigan will be criticized. Big 10 BTW is flopping badly.
Why would he be criticized? He is the one who elevated this team to this level. They were un-ranked to start the season.
And, the haters in this thread predicted he would be fired this year, but they keep moving the goalposts and are now demanding a national championship or else he is a failure. They go to ridiculous lengths to justify their positions.

Simply because they were dominating during the regular season and as a #1 seed one has to reach the regional finals to deflect the criticism that would follow. Same would hold true for Gonzaga and Baylor. With high achievements high expectations are set. And the haters of Howard will always find something and move the goalposts cause haters going to hate.
