Is it possible to know that the media overhypes and tries to scare? And at the same time understand that this is a very serious issue?

We all know now as fact COVID deaths are being over reported. We also know the media is overhyping this pandemic in an effort to hurt the POTUS.
What is also known is thousands of people are asymptomatic of COVID and had no clue they even had it meaning the death rate and seriousness of the disease is far less than currently being reported.
These are all facts so knowing all of that, why are people in states like Wyoming sitting in their living rooms not working again? This thing is a scam and most of the RX sees it for what it is. But there still are a few holdouts. We'll give them credit for standing firm all the way until the end.

Without the economic shutdown there would have been many more deaths. Why? Because many hospitals would have been overwhelmed & they wouldn't have been able to handle all the non COVID-19 emergency cases in addition to all the COVID-19 emergency cases. Then doctors, as in Italy, would have had to choose between who lives & who dies. Many thousands more would have died.
Without the shutdown many more would have become sick at the same time. That would have led to many businesses shutting down anyway. And many of their customers would have stayed at home, anyway, leading to even more business closures.
As things are going, there is much "herd immunity" already being built up. As many economies are now beginning to gradually open, or about to do so within the next few weeks, the "herd immunity" will slowly & properly be built up even more, so that hospitals & such are not overwhelmed.
I just happened to agree with his last post.. Think we all can walk back a few things with this whole situation , including myself... I'm not an expert with anything here, that's for sure. but for the most part I agree on a lot of what Enfuego has posted here on this subject.. most of it is common sense .. hopefully we can all get to the other side with this thing in one piece..
